    Snus and Oral Health

I am new to using snus and I am wondering if it effects a person's oral health greatly like American dip does? If I use mouthwash twice a day and brush twice a day would it counteract any if all effects. Thanks.

In a word....no. The health effects of snus are nothing like those of American dip.

However, snus is still tobacco and everybody's tolerance to the potential ill effects of tobacco are different.

Having said that, I would continue your fine dental hygiene and you shouldn't have any issues at all. I'm sure you'll hear from many of snus' seasoned veterans who have been doing this much longer than you or I and will tell you that they have yet to experience any issue.

    Happy snusing !

I have noticed a slight staining in the gaps of my teeth. Brushing just doesn't remove it. So if you are bothered by this, get used to using your snus further back in your mouth. I snused right up front for a year before I noticed stains. Now it just doesn't feel right to put it further back. When I chain snus I sometimes notice my gums being sensitive but it quickly goes away. Besides that no issues.
