If you are really interested in Gum, get the Firebreak from Northerner. It is a soft gum,, not that hard crap like Nicorette, and it is made from actual tobacco, not the fake pharmaceutical crap

They sent me some of that for free once. It was ok, but I'm not a big gum chewer though. I would suggest it over the other crap though, you will get nicotine from it.

Also, the last few months I was smoking and snusing I had the same problem. I would smoke and snus at the same time, and the smoke would ruin the taste of the snus. Even afterword it lingered inside the snus and tasted like butt. It just got to the point of screw it, I would rather just snus.

Sage: I found Firebreak discontinued everywhere I looked for it this past week. If you know where it can still be ordered, lemme know. The stuff has only 1mg nicotine per piece, but pairs nicely with Jolt caffeinated chewing gum for holding the weight down and kicking up the spirits!

It appears to be gone. On Buysnus site, it still is listed but says " No longer for sale"

Most of you know that I didn't smoke prior to snus'n. It was actually an accident that I fell in love with...anyway. 3 years ago I heard that chewing nicotine gum would help you lose weight, so I bought some. It did help me lose 20 pounds, but I put it all back on after getting pregnant for the third time.

I didn't notice that I was addicted to the nicotine at all, not like using snus. I think the gum was 4mg and I chewed it all day. But I stopped after getting preggy and decided it was too expensive to go back just to lose weight.

It wasn't that bad. I tried to get my little brother to use the gum but he chose the patch, which didn't work. He has cut back to 4 cigs a day now and I keep throwing snus in his face but, alas, he says no thanks.

He is 23 and has only smoked for 7 years on and off, I'd think it would be easier for him to quit than my husband who has smoked for 20+ years...I think he just likes to smoke personally. He is so young and has no concern for his health. OH well, I guess since I had no nic habit, really, prior to snus'n I shouldn't bitch.

Try Oomph from northerner - its not bad and seems to be a bit easier on the gums.
