Seriously, I think you should go see your dentist. I don't want to freak you out, but oral problems are often symptoms of broader health problems. This isn't normal, and you should make sure there's nothing more significant going on here. Even if you don't have dental insurance, it's worth a couple hundred bucks to know what's going on with your body.
Bleeding Gums

Originally posted by NicobuzzYes Dave, I was using Skruf Stark and this is when the bleeding started - I think we've put the finger on what the problem has been as I haven't had any problems since I've finished the Skruf.
I put an Odens Extra Stark in and it was like a soft fluffy pillow in comparison.
Been using skruf stark portion and some lös for 10 months, never had any problems. but yeah, i do feel skruf is kind of a "harder" snus compared to others, general for example is a lot softer. but i like skruf D:

You could, but that won't necessarily fix the problem. I would just try different places under the lip and give that one side a rest, while keeping an eye on it. I also agree with having the dentist check it out just for a professional opinion.Originally posted by Nicobuzz
Might be an excuse to move on to los.

It's interesting that this topic came up, because for the past two days I've had an extremely sore spot on my upper left gum, just above my canine. It almost feels like it could be a canker sore, but I can't seem to find the canker itself. I'm hoping it goes away, as this isn't usual for me. I get irritation, sure, but this is different. As a result, I've stopped snussing on that side.
I remember someone mentioning the salt as a source of irritation; can anyone confirm this?

I did just find a little white spot like a canker sore, and also several little white "dots", I guess you could say.Originally posted by MotherbatherickIt's interesting that this topic came up, because for the past two days I've had an extremely sore spot on my upper left gum, just above my canine. Interesting... :?
I think I'm going to cut back somewhat. I think that part of my problem is that I need a higher nicotine content than what General regular portions are giving me. Unfortunately, I'm 72 miles from my main snus source, and they only have General regular portions and mint minis. I've ordered some of the strong stuff and it' will hopefully be here soon. My theory is that if I am able to get a higher level of nicotine, I'll be able to use less snus altogether.

Well, it seems to be healing...slowly. I think that it may be that my upper gums just aren't used to tobacco of any kind. The other side of my upper gums are having no problem aside from the fact that my teeth always feel slightly well, loose? Not really loose, just like they could start moving if they wanted to. I've taken to alternating different places in my mouth; upper gums with one snus, lower gums with another, you get the picture. I think that that one spot on my gum just got severely irritated by the snus is all.Originally posted by MasterGunsWow, almost got mud mouth laughing at that...then found this:Originally posted by chasDid anybody else read this...

well that's a good thing, the only issues I've come across over the past few months I've been snusing has been stains on my incisors and some slight recession over one of them. Although I can't really say if that was or wasn't pre-existing, never payed attention until now.
used to brush once a day, now it's twice a day, rinse twice a day, and floss once a day. Doin my mother proud. she has snus to thank
