    Sick after using snus

Well I recently moved up to the "real" Swedish snus. Before hand I would just use American Skoal.

Anyway, I originally tried GBG Rape, and it made me feel weird (and swelled up the top part of my upper lip), but not completely sick. Last night I tried Catch White Eucalyptus, and originally had a real good feeling. Super buzz, beyond the typical cigarette buzz. Later that night around 12 or 1 I start feeling sick. Stomach wants to throw up, and my head hurt really bad above my right eye.

Reminded me of the migraines I had as a child. Same remedy worked: listen to music and sit in a lazy boy. Listened to Dark Tranquility (Swedish Death Metal) ironically.

I decided to try the Catch again today, and had it in for about 3 minutes before I felt like throwing up again.

Is there something wrong with me, or can I just not tolerate Swedish snus?

Sounds like a nic overload. Would suggest trying minis 1st.

I would imagine Swedish snus would have a different nicotine delivery system to American smokeless (haven't tried American smokeless)

Your question, "is there anything wrong with me?"...is completely subjective, odds are, there is indeed something wrong with you, but it isn't the snus..lol

Swedish snus does deliver nicotine very well, and you're probably not used to the nic levels. Do try the mini portions first, or make sure you eat something right before you put in a portion. Sometimes when I snus on an empty stomach, with a lot of caffeine in my system...I get nauseated as well.

If that doesn't fix it, could be the swine flu...and good luck with that...LMAO

Let us know how the snus issue works out.

I completely agree with mwood72. Sounds like your body just doesn't need the amount of nicotine you're putting into it. Definitely try the minis. They might seem kind of wussy, but there's no shame in getting the right nicotine level for you.

yeah I agree...Nicotine EASILY causes nausea if you are not used to it. It should not upset your stomach later on though. If you get too much nicotine, you'll feel sick right away but the great part is that it fades quickly too. Nicotine is quickly metabolized by the body...one of the main reasons its so addictive. I've noticed if I had too much from snus, the ill effects fade in less than an hour.

Hey if snus is making you sick, no need to use it then. I can easily see people getting turned off by it...it is quite unique to say the least. Everyone here is the US loves dip...I hate it, and it always makes me sick even to just smell it.
