    Snus allergy

    Hey there,
Dont take the name to serious but it's close to what i've got.

When i take a snus i often (almost always) have these strange things.
I have a feeling that i have to vomit, not that my stomach hurts or anything, I just start having these gaggings :s

I think it started when i was realy hungover and i was taking snus.
I was quite sick but i wanted my nicotines
That time my stomach realy hurt but it didn't want to lose the battle

    anyone familiar with this phenomena?

Ow yes, after about 9 o clock it's done :?

    Cheers!

What other kinds of nicotine do you use? Cigarettes, cigars, etc.?

Many kinds of snus will give you a nicotine "kick" that your body may not be used to...

It's only been like that for a half year and i've been using snus for 3 years and a half (or maybe four).

I used stark snus in the past and i've never had that problem...

I've not heard of that; I've had an OD on nicotine in my first days, which was f*****g horrible, but luckily my body has accustomed to this higher level of nic. That said, I would listen to your body. If your body feels like shit, you are doing something to it that it doesn't like. Maybe buy some cans of minis and then build back up to standard strength. I would avoid all sterk and extra sterk for the timebeing.

Maybe you've gotten sensitive to nicotine in the morning. Many times, having snus first thing makes me feel half ill. Try eating something first, and give your body a chance to get used to being vertical.

It is true that i dont eat much in the morning and at that moment the allergy is the heaviest.
I think it's also a bit in my head, now when i feel the gag coming i try not to give in to it and it helps

              @Raddleman:
Did you snus a whole pot of skruff stark?

Funnily enough, no, just 14 or so Offroad Wintergreens throughout the day. Since then I have had days when I have got through a whole can of snus, with some Thunders thrown in for good luck. The body is a funny animal. :?

I still get minor throat irritation with certain portions, even some of my faves like Catch white Eucalyptus and R.Lacket, which aren't particularly strong, compared to say, Thunder and oden's which I've been using lately. I find that it helps to have a beverage handy to wash down any sudden odd feelings in the ol' throat tube.

Sometimes I get nausea from a snus. Typically when I'm tired and it's near bedtime though. Note that I do eat a small breakfast and drink a huge cup of water plus coffee with cream in it. So Mornings I don't do empty stomach.

I actually do have a bit of a real reaction to snus once in a while.

A couple minutes into putting a portion in Ill get really really itchy and light pink blotches on my skin. It happens once every 10 or so snusings. I just take it out and wait 20 minutes then try again and usually I'm good.
Not sure why... Never happened with cigs

Also I have a tonsil that becomes irritated and swollen very easily (I'll probably have to get it out one of these days). Often times at the end of the day its sore and scratchy if I've used a lot of snus.

Cut down a bit. Use more mild snus. Maybe you have some kind of infection, start using mouth after snusing.
