snus and crazy dreams

I think this topic has been discussed before, but I can't remember correctly.

It seems like every time I fall asleep with snus in my mouth I have some pretty crazy and intense dreams. Is this the nicotine?

It could be. There could also be other factors at play, but nicotine tends to trigger vivid dreams. It's something that patch users commonly report.

I had a dream last night that my cat was going to be on the Oprah Winfrey show. Was it the nicotine? Could be...

I had the CRAZIEST dream ever when I fell asleep with two strong portions in.

I was STUCK in my dream. I kept waking up in my dream, looking over at my girlfriend (who i was sleeping next to), taking out the portions, and the my vision would go black and it would happen all over, this happened five times. The last time I just kept asking my girlfriend if she is real and she would respond. I finally woke up, and was freaked out of my mind.

It was crazy to be STUCK in a dream.

I've also had a "stuck" dream, exactly the same but I was alone! I took out the portion, and went back to sleep, then "woke up" with a portion again! It took 3 times, and the last time I knew it was real because of the horrid taste in my mouth.

that was the end of my sleeping/snusing.

I've read that some people wear nicotine patches to experience intense dreams. When I used the nicotine patch, my dreams would be very realistic and intense. This occurs if I snus right before I fall asleep as well. The stimulative effects of nicotine cause your brain to process dreams more efficiently while asleep.

so um...i fell asleep after getting home one afternoon with a pris in...and i had a dream that i took an egg out of the fridge...i noticed it was slighty cracked..so i pulled it apart over a bowl and the bowl filled to the top with egg white....i remember saying.."there's no yolk"...then i look and the white part thats in the egg was there and it looked like a small tiny ass duck...i took a butter knife and lifted it up to the top of the liquid and then it sunk halfway back down...next thing i know its swimming around at the top...then it just stops and sits there....


i had the dream sunday...after certain late night activities saturday night...so i was kinda like...oops..

I left a snus in last night and had a really weird vivid dream about being Barak Obama's personal guard, drowning in a submarine and taking him with me. Oh and it involved the Russians developing a secret weapon, with Barak getting booya'd. Random train of thought, dreams make no sense, long live snus-induced slumber...

I fell asleep with a portion in once and had a similar dream where I was taking out the portion. It was so real, I couldnt figure out how it was still in my mouth when i woke up!

I fall asleep with a portion in about 3 times a week. It never leaks and I never have any problem with it at all. I have to wear a mask with my CPAP machine and due to the pressure of the air I am forced to sleep with my mouth shut. [you get used to it after awhile and find that its actually easier to fall asleep that way] I do however, usually have vivid dreams when I fall asleep with a protion in. Its one of the reasons I love snus. I've been with every woman I have ever wanted to sleep with.......in my dreams.

The only problem is that my wife gets pissed and sometimes has to change the sheets. :wink: ................jk

But thats usually only when I dream of JBean or Desirex. 8)

I've tried a couple of times recently to see what happens if I fall asleep with a portion of N&J. Nothing! Very disappointing.

there might be some confirmation bias here... I mean, consider how often you have vivid dreams without a portion in, and also consider if you're just having vivid dreams because it's on your mind that you could.

Yeah, it seems nicotine merely cancels my regular dreams out and gives me restless leg syndrome instead.
