Hasn't worked for me, I think I have a higher nicotine intake than I did previously as I probably smoke a similar amount as before. It does worry me slightly with a history of heart disease and being prone to palpitations.
I'm seriously considering going cold turkey on both snus and cigs, using a little snuff only when I absolutely need to.

My last cigarette was December 28th, 2008. The following day, I popped a pouch of Camel Frost instead of going out to the store to buy a pack of cigs. I haven't touched or craved a cig since then nor can I stand the odor of cigs when smokers pass me by on the street. I think snus works.

It has certainly helped me too. I quit smoking on 15th of Dec. and haven't smoked any cigs. When I was quitting, I had two packs of cigs and about 10 cans of snus unopened. I decided to smoke both packs so I wouldn't have any cigs left when I started snusing. There are still days when I have a huge craving in the morning for a cig and when that happens I run to the fridge, pop a lose and the craving and more importantly the "thought of smoking" is gone in about 2-3 minutes.

I quit smoking 4 weeks ago and haven't looked back. Snus definitely works, and a good alternative to the 'quit or die' bullshit.

I quit smoking six months ago with snus. Had my first smoke since and couldn't finish it. Hated it and gave me a damned headache, not to mention making my mucous membranes in my nose increase production. Yuk, not something I'm going to do again.
Snus is so far superior that even an occasional smoke isn't fun.

I think this is the new PATCH
Since May 2008 no more cigarettes. I've had a few cigars in that time.
I go through about 36 rolls in 5 months.
This is the new Nicotine Patch. I always thought a pill would be better than the patch because it does not need as much attention to maintain it.
I usually keep a Snus double portion in for about 2 to 3 hours.

I will attest that snus has taken away the urge to smoke time and time again.
Even when a friend gave me a wonderful cigar sample pack from his trip to Canada, and I felt the urge to buy some at the local cigar shop, I went back to snus and the urge to smoke was gone again.Phil

I quit smoking about 20 days ago, haven't touched one since. Other times in my life that I have tried to quit, by whatever means..the cravings plus the actual "habit" of smoking were to much for me to overcome.
The biggest part of quitting for me this time has been that I'm able to determine which times are cravings for nicotine and which times are habits. For the actual cravings, ie., first thing in the morning, after food, etc. I use a sterk or super sterk. The times during the day that I would normally just reach for my pack of smokes...I substitute a reg portion snus, and go about whatever I would have done while smoking the cigrarette. If there are any times during the day that I feel a true craving coming on, I answer with General ES or Claq qui, disaster averted.
I figured that reprogramming myself to use the snus would be just as satisfying as the smokes, it's been true for me. Haven't even craved a cig. Hell, I'm even able to go outside with my friends, family and employees when they smoke and it doesn't bother me. Because I'm getting more nicotine that they are with that cigarette, and my lungs aren't dying while doing it.

Another successful quit story here. Smoked for 15 years with a couple 2 years breaks in there. I seem to drift back to it. This last time I tried 3 or 4 times with no luck. Came across the Camel Snus, which got me to this forum. Been almost a couple weeks, and no desire for a cig now. Still love the smell though.

I smoked a pack a day for about 15 years. In the last couple months, while Snusing -- I'm averaging about 4 a day.
I've been phasing out smoking -- only doing it during those times where the habit has a strong foothold (after waking up, lunch, dinner, before bed). My original goal wasn't to quit totally, but to quit taking smoke breaks at work.
Soon enough, I don't think I'll smoke at all.
