What always fails to be reported is that the major study linking snus to pancreatic cancer was a thirty year study of construction workers. Most of them started using snus before many of the brands had lowered the TNSA levels to the current level.

Also fails to mention that not all the nicotine is absorbed. Very poorly written article with little research done..

8 mg of nicotine per pouch would mean around a .7 - 1.6 nicotine absorption rate, while most cigarettes (using the Canadian method of measuring tar and nicotine from cigarettes, which uses realistic levels of measurements, unlike the FTC) deliver around 1.5 - 3.0 mg of nicotine. As well, the article even states that snus does not increase the risk of lung cancer, which is the number one cause of death among smokers. I love how publishers use "spin" to manipulate factual information!
