As of last weekend, the FDA said that there have been 11 pro replies, according to Cad on his podcast....

I tried a couple of times but could never get the form to load.

But the whole idea of "health policy by poll" is a bit disturbing to me.........is this how the FDA is making their decisions now?............so if the science tells us one thing but Bubba and enough of his friends from the pub say another.......we are going with Bubba...........

Plus it seems a bit disingenuous to run a prolonged nationwide smear campaign, suppress any contrary information............and then ask for a the opinions of those only partially informed.......wounder what the outcome will be?..........worse........I wonder why it even matters in setting FDA policy

It worked for me. Only 11 replies? I guess we're the only ones who know. If it was something that the government wanted passed, they would have spent millions on TV ads.

That's why I've stayed out of this. When I first heard about it from Chad I totally blew my lid off because of all the points you raised Dog.

the fact that this dumb poll is being run at all....... is the IMPORTANT POINT to take way. To me it reveals a chink in anti-tobacco's armor.............harm reduction is entering the public's consciousness.............and it will eventually win

Once the rulemaking process goes into the next review phase, the comments will be visible in the docket. I don't think they post comments until the deadline for submitting them passes, but I am not certain. I also don't know whether they cull some of the comments; I have dealt with a couple of these, but for much less prominent topics where it looked like they let everything through (e.g., Bill from Podunk, NE thinks the current rule makes his cats sad).
