You stopped smoking at 28? That's great! I wish I could have done that.

Chest pains at the age of 28 is probably either caused by gas or tension. There is a lot of nicotine in an Oden's Extreme, so I'm not surprised you have this reaction, as the elevated nicotine levels can both make you more gassy (raised metabolism) and make you more tense since it makes your body produce more adrenaline. Sounds to me though it's nothing serious, but if it continues, it's not a bad idea to check it out. I wouldn't worry though.

I sometimes get a lock up on nerves in my chest, and get a sharp pain while breathing in, but it disappears quickly, and most people experience it sometime. I don't know if that's the sensation you are talking about. Does it happen every time you take an Oden's Extreme?

My Dad had chest pain and put it down to a chest infection. Two weeks later he had a fatal heart attack.

Yea, no doubt get checked out. I had the same thing when I quit smoking, chest pains, congestion, etc. going on. My doctor told me it was my own body's way of basically detoxing itself from the chemicals that are used in cigarettes and dip. But anything with your ticker that you may be worried about is no laughing matter man, have your doc take a look at it.

Mate, go and see a dr if you're worried, from what I know there are no drs on here, so go and see one as soon as you an and get checked out.

Not implying that you have a heart problem, but it's nothing to mess around with and can strike at any age. Best not to guess.

Actually "a little nicotine" can cause a lot of issues in some people.

My point is that you may be worrying for no reason at all.

But if there is an early warning sign you will be a winner now (better then a lottery winner) once you have a complete overhaul.

EKG...wires and all the rest of it....in a specific medical environment. The cost ($$) may be zero to you but even if the co pay hurts....do it tomorrow!

You'll probably get the results that will have you dancing out of the clinic and singing your favorite song. Serious!

And then you can get back to Snus and still enjoy life.

Hey....I'm still here and I almost Bought The Farm at Fenway Park this past summer at a night game.

But you do not want to second guess this on your own.

It'll be a pain in the ass to make the appointment and all the rest....but I promise you: you'll be fine if you just grab a phone and take that little step.

There's been viral bronchitis going around in my area so it may something as simple as that but I agree with the others - you should get checked out by a doctor.

Yep....get checked out....all of GN's Extreems do that to me... and it is a bad sign that your pump and plumbing needs a plumber. You do not want to wait until they have to call Roto Rooter like I did!

Nicotine elevates blood pressure. The higher the dose the the more your BP will be affected.

    You didn't mention your age.

Your symptoms suggest that a doctor is in order.

Personally, I wouldn't take the wise experienced minds on the internet as gospel when it comes to anything that may be "pending" for your health and fitness.
