I do freeze my snus but once I open a can I leave it out. What I do find off is that I can find very little in the way of scientific analysis about this.

The issue here is the manufacturing process............pasteurization arrests the development of further TSNAs....... The snus may dry out over time......... but unlike dip.....it will not increase in TNSA with shelf life

Odens may use a different production process (GN will have to enlighten us further)......however.......what we already know about GN snus is that......... if the process they use varies too much from the standard norm.....Oden's.... by law.... could not be sold as snus in Sweden.

So my bet is that Oden's is fine though its rate of shelf elevated TNSA may vary slightly (and insignificantly) from straight pasteurized snus.............Hey GN fill us in here bro!

In the end....snus (regardless of the brand) that sits in sun or on a shelf for an extended period of time will taste inferior to properly stored snus.

For dip refrigeration inhibits the increase of TNSA

For Snus it simply locks in the moisture and keeps the snus fresh longer

Gotta say though....with standard portions I like them wet but a lot of them were quite dry which I don't like so I just started buying the White Drys which are quality. Does that make any sense?

Although just to be safe I think you really need to send them to coderguy and start fresh.

Some Odens cans have a flaw at the hinge that allows them to dry out quickly... only the paper label seals the opening...sometimes a slight gap exists. This allows air in and moisture out. An advantagecon some of the wet snus varieties. My coffee snus dries fast at room temp in a week. I LIKE THEM THAT WAY.

Not a big deal...but fresh kept cold is the optimum. I would be more concerned about flavor than tsna myself.... but I am faithfull in my attempts to buy and store fresh snus.

But what does that matter if what rick said is true about temperature not being a big deal?

Odens has a use date of up to a year! So they could be pretty old. The cans tend to dry out helping with aging.
