Does smoking make you feel younger

Ive been snusing now for close to a year.

But lately idk, i feel like smoking was helping me feel younger.

They know that certain nitrates in tobacco smoke have an antidepressant effect, and also help prevent alzeimers (sp) and other stuff.

I know there is a strong nostalgia for me with smoking.

But I feel that it was making me feel younger.. i dont know what it is about snus. I get sick of smoking and snus
    is just clean and easy.

But I feel like if i smoked Id feel more alive.

I actually dont believe alot of the "science" behind smoking and all the diseases. I believe a lot of studies are fueled by pharmaceutical companies.

A lot of the oldest people on earth were smokers.

But thats not my purpose in this thread. I know Im talking to a forum of snusers. But for the sake of argument I wonder if anyone kinda feels this way.

How long have you smoked? After about 20 years it made me feel like an old bag of shit. Prior to that it didn't really bother me.

      lol

I have been smoking (with a few breaks), for probably 7 years.

      Snusing for 1.

I find I literally drink a huge amount of caffeine when I snus. When I smoke I dont need so much caffeine.
Kinda weird. I also only have really smoked natural tobacco, and most of the time organic.

I know what you're saying. I smoked for 15+ years and sometimes miss the feeling. The young cool kinda feeling when your out drinking with friends...But screw that, I'm a grown ass man now with a kid so I'll do everything I can not to go back.

I kind of relate about the youth factor and they have no concept of their own mortality. Since I am fully aware of my own mortality, more so than some because everyone I grew up with has died a somewhat early death except my dad made it to 84, I feel like I'm next...well I AM, next in the context of family anyway! But all the coughing and haggard breathing effects of smokinging hit by the time I was 30 and I had already quit a few times too. I think a person can be born with a predisposition to lung problems when they are abused and other people succumb to other things. You know what I mean. Hey, go ahead and smoke, it's your lungs and your life. Not for me. I've got things to do that require I stay in good shape and I want to use it or loose it to the very end. I'm going to be physically active like a crooked old fool. I always remember the 82 y/o leading her 17 hand thoroughbred in from pasture at a barn I was visiting. I said, that's going to be me. If I could get my finances in order it! I might be leading her down the streets with a pack of all my worldly possessions on her back! Ha ha.

Yeah i always smoked organic mainly.. but it looks like i wont even be able to buy snus anymore, and i wont have time to smoke all the time. So unless i can find a place that sells snus (i could get camel), then ill just be smoking.

But im okay with that because i really feel smoking a strong organic american spirit makes my body more flexible and lighter. Maybe because your smoking the entire plant. Plus snus makes me, well i dont need to say negatives. Its nice to be saturated in nicotine and smoking (now that i have a year notch on my snus belt), gets so old.

            Oh well..

Exercise will make you feel younger, it's an illusion w/ cigs. Most young people, teens, start smoking initially to feel older. There are millions of non-smokers who do not need to smoke to feel younger. I think too much nicotine can bring on a "lethargic" feeling, so you may adjust your snus use. But I doubt smoking is "the fountain of youth", if anything it speeds up the aging process. Just look at any smoker north of 40 years old and see if they really look younger. All natural and organic tobacco is still bad, smoke in the lungs isn't natural, lungs want oxygen, not carbon monoxide.

A few months ago when I decided to add smoking to my snus use it put some bounce in my step.

Anyways american spirit tobacco does that to me.

                Your results will vary. Heh
