    Snus Allergy

The other day I popped in a Jakobssons Classic Strong portion and it burned more than usual and my lips became swollen and itchy. I have a similar reaction when I eat a Mango (which sucks since I can't eat them anymore). Just wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this or have any idea what it may be that I am allergic to so I can avoid it with other snus.

I've had a similar reaction to certain snus, but frustratingly, I can't pinpoint which possible ingredient or even which brand has the effect. I use Odens Extreme lös all the time as my go-to lös, and I've had it happen on a few occasions using Extreme los but usually it doesn't bother me. Also Elyxir gave me the reaction (no loss there) and Bla. I too have allergies to certain fruits, which is pretty unusual as far as I understand. Again with fruit, normally none of it bothers me at all now that I am older, but every once in a while it does, same with snus. When it happens it's usually not too big of a deal -- my lip gets kind of swollen and I take the prilla out and it goes away after a while. The Bla that I tried once and only once messed me up though -- my lips were very swollen for a couple hours. Anyway that is all I have to share, sorry I don't have any answers.

Random question out of curiosity: does a Ceasar salad made the proper way with raw egg and anchovy sometimes make the inside of your mouth itch?

LOL very random indeed Roo. Sounds like you may be allergic to egg or anchovy as I have never had that reaction to a ceasar salad. Best go ask your doctor to do an allergy test and find out.

Thanks for the feedback. No Roo, I have never had a problem with Ceasar salad. Allergies don't seems to be much of a problem with any other snus that I have tried. I did finally get around to trying Oden's licorice and had a small reaction to it though.

I have a nice dose of all-round allergies (canned foods, birch, oak, grass, cat, dog, horse, flowers etc.), and to a low amount of fruits - I don't seem to react to most of the common ones like Apple and bananas, though sometimes apples itch a little.
However; I've never gotten any reaction from using snus, with or without flavours - I recommend checking all the ingredients of the snus you're using and having a doctor perform a test on you.

The only snus I react to slightly is Jaks Melon - it makes me cough.
