You know I read somewhere before tomatoes contained nicotine but I assumed it was just the actual plant to ward of any predatory pests (with nicotine being a natual pesticide)
I do like my tomatoes though. Ever smoked aubergine Ansel? :-) Another favourite vegetable of mine.
