    Camel snus burps/hiccups???

Anyone else experience 'burping' or 'hiccuping' issues while using Camel snus? I never have this problem with any other snus, just Camel. I wonder why that is. Oh and hiccups and snussing at the same time, especially with a runny portion is not fun. Sometimes makes me choke on the spit and then I get into one of those nasty coughing spells...sucks big time!

I get the snus hiccups on occasion. Never linked specifically to any one snus. Most often if I use too much snus on an empty stomach.

When I first started snusing with a Swedish Match portion product I had one or two brief hiccuping responses, but no longer.
I also hiccup occasionally from eating extremely spicy food.

I like all 3 flavors of Camel. Even though I still get 'burpy' every single time I use one, that's not enough to stop me.

I get heartburn really bad with the Camel Frost. Just like regular dip if you accidentally swallow some of the tobacco or juice. It doesn't happen with the Original and only happens every once in a while with the Spice.

Yeah, I'm new to this forum. As a matter of fact this is my first. I just got started recently on snus after learning about the lower risks of cancers and what not and decided to do some research on it further and stumbled across this site. You all seem like a bunch of cool people so I decided to join and talk about my new hobby with ya'll <---and yeah, I'm from Texas. Anyway just wanted to say that I really enjoy snus a lot. have been on it for about 2 weeks now. Switch from smoking.....15 year smoking habit. My first snus I bought was from a local cigar store. The only selection we have here in the states; or in my state....or city, is the General snuses.... White portion, loose, wintergreen and some other one that I forget. The first one I bought was the loose and it turned out to be a bad decision. I don't see how u guys do the loose. With me; I guess cuz Ilm new to snusing but the little bits would always fall down in my mouth and drip down my throat, when I would smile or laugh, it would compress the mold....I guess u guys call them 'pris'....and big chunks would come off and I would push it back up with my tongue and get some on my tongue and that would slowly work its way back to my throat stinging it and the worst part was getting it all in ur teeth and then smiling. Nasty!!!! I almost switched back to smoking cuz of that. Then I rememebered the portion bags and went and bought them the next day. WAYYY WAYYYY better. Yeah its a lot less per can but worth it. Damn, makes me wanna do one right now. Sadly I have to order some from the internet from Sweden with a higher nic level cuz these don't do anything for me anymore. I love the lemon flavor of General; lemon and salt seem so perfect together, so am leaning towards General Sterk or ONYX. Both have 11mg of nic and that seems just right to me. Have any of u tried any of these versions? If so how were they?

                    Camel snus.....*sigh*

And btw, why are u people using Camel snus talkin about....."ha yeah, I like all the flavors. Especially the spice, its perfect with egg nog on x-mas". Hahah no no no. First of all with Camel; for the same price, u get a little more than half of the portioned swedish snus and has less nicotine. Yeah its hard to findlocally if u don't order from online but with a little research on the net, u can find a tobacco store that carries General at least. I have nothing against America, but when searching for a ojbject for which u know someone else makes it better and its the same price or within reason, why not get that? That's like finding a Mercedes and a Ford that costs the same and driving off the lot smiling and honking ur horn, waving at everyone as u pull off. Hahaha...seriously tho.

Whoops, I meant....That's like driving off the lot in the Ford..blah blah blah. Forgive me for that. Brain is still tryin to clear out all the toxins from years of smoking. I'll be allright soon. Haha

                        Welcome to the forums.

P.S. I'd take classic Ford over a Mercedes of equal value any day of the week.

When I saw my pop last, I gave him a Wine and Chef portion, and he liked it well enough, but within 2 minutes, he started hiccuping. He said that he hadn't hiccuped in well over a year. It was pretty funny to watch. He left it in and it stopped after a few minutes. Interesting.

Yeah. even when I do get the occasional "niccup", they tend to go away rather quick. Still amuses me when it happens since I've had nicotine in my blood for 19 years.

Burping and hiccuping are signs of mild nicotine overdose. Im curious if you got that off of one camel snus, because i have found that the camel snus is more candy tasting than tobacco tasting, and i thought it had less nicotine than the traditional swedish snus. i may be wrong, but the only time i've gotten the mild overdose is in the mornings when i pop two general original portions in my mouth... but that still hardly ever happens.
