Sounds like it's more the temperature, than the tea itself. I hate very hot drinks/food, so I should be good to go :^)

I know super hot beverages are bad, I had a relative who drank scalding hot coffee for years and as expected, he basically scalded his esophagus away...but no cancer, must be because he used coffee. Hmmm...

Well it was a number of years ago that UC Berkley did a study that proved apple pie caused cancer, they had concentrated it down to where the lab rats where consuming the equal of 6 TONS a day. Just goes to show if enough of anything is consumed it'll cause cancer.
