How was your first reaction to nicotine?

I've been doing a lot of thinking about my "tobacco habit".
I remember the first time I tried a product with nicotine... it was general loose snus.
It made me throw up, with severe anxiety attacks, dizziness, and disorientation...

Please share your experience with your first reaction / encounter with nicotine, be it cigarettes, or dip whatever.

12yrs old, a can of Gold River dip in the woods to avoid the prying eyes of my mother. Then loads of vomit........didn't touch another tobacco product until I picked up a cigarette at 22yrs old. What a dumbass, wish I'd never have touched them, but thank god I found Swedish snus ;-)

I had a good reaction, probably because my first experience with nicotine was with snus, general white. I took it out after about 5 minutes, because I sensed that I had enough, but over all it was a weird in a good, refreshing way experience

Nothing for me, but I have gotten sick a few times from nicotine, just not the first time. No buzz, no sick, Just smooth smoking pleasure provided by Parliament cigarettes :^D

Crummy Skoal snus- Nothing during, so left it in a bit long. 45 -1hr, got a bit juicy.
An hour later, I had to lie down & take a nap while I cooled off & waited for nausea to pass.

Now, keep my use very limited & shorter time in. I've posted here asking if anyone actually uses occasionally, nobody seems to think it's possible. Hasn't been an issue for me. It's helpful when I'm super stressed & need to get a ton of work done. Has been about a month since I've used any.

My first cigarette made me cough and made me feel like I had knives in my lungs. The effect of the nicotine I did not find bad at all... just the smoke hurt my throat and lungs.

First one was Camel Snus, their first version. Dizziness, disorientation a bit, and the worst taste in my mouth. However, after I forcefully sucked out the initial juices, the brown, and spat it out...All went better than I thought. The "nicotine high" was still strong, but tolerable.

Basically, it was just a shitty product to begin with, me being a noob was the least of the problem.

I did like the highs, and still get them since I always fail to built up a tolerance. They are more tolerable since I expect them now, but it's all good.

building up tolerance isn't good for anything... it's just like saying I want to harm myself even more and spend more money...
