Went to my doctor today, good news from snus!

Told her I'd been off the smokes and on to snus for the past 3-4 weeks. She was impressed, my blood-pressure had been a bit border line high in the past, but it's dropped a little (back into "safe" range). My lungs sounded better to her as well.

She seemed curious about snus, so i told her about it, she was impressed with my knowledge, she could tell I'd done some research, heh. I was kind of expecting a speech about the "dangers of smokeless tobacco" but she was definitely down with the "harm reduction" philosophy (especially smoking as much as i used to).

I'm a living testimonial that snus is far less harmful for you than cigarettes, and all this in just a month off them (I was up to three lighters a day... ok seriously it was only 20-30 cigarettes a day, but that's a pretty hefty load of smoke in the lungs).

    Hooray!

Congratulations on quitting the smoking habit. I smoked about 2 packs of camels a day. Now I don't even have an urge to smoke and I sit here with hundreds of cuban cigars just mellowing in my humidor.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I think I could go for the occasional cigar. Right now though I don't have an appropriate venue for enjoying one.
