    heart rate

I know this is a weird question. I suffer from anxiety, and now I got a weird symptom of getting a super fast heart rate sometimes thats scaring the lights out of me. Im a heavy cig smoker, want to switch to snus. I know quitting nicotine supposedly lowers ur heart rate etc. Do you find that using snus u are able to have a slower heart rate than when you smoked, or do you get even more nicotine, and it effects ur heart rate even more than cigarettes?

I would say snus would lower your heart rate as it has significantly less carcinogens than cigarettes and there is no smoke to affect your lungs making it easier to breath and so doing actions require less energy.

Nicotine is a stimulant and increases your blood pressure as well as your heart rate. Sounds like you really need to kick the smoking, or atleast slow it down hoss.

Kicking a nicotine addiction in time and usually within the first 4-6 hours your BP and HR will drop back to normal operating range for yourself.

On top of that you need to take your spam elsewhere...

To be honest it sounds like you have an anxiety problem...I'm not a doctor either but am a healthcare professional with specialized training in cardiology. But then again...heavy chain smoking will give you a "flutter" effect.

A hangover will raise your heart rate massively and if you've had coffee as well it'll go throught the roof.
Nicotine through snus only raises your heart rate by a small amount.

I don't have any heart issues from snus or any kind of tobacco......

It's your anxiety that increases the heart rate, not nicotine.........

Do quit smoking if you have anxiety..... smoking is causing your anxiety believe me .......

Heavy cigarette smoking compounded with anxiety will cause one to feel like their heart is going ape-sh*t. But to say that nicotine (a stimulant) does not increase the heart rate is erroneous.

Honestly, I feel that dude registered and posted in hopes of getting his spam out here. You didn't see his sigblock but it was loaded with links for e-cigs. He more than likely won't be back to see these replies.
