I think the added gains would be "present" time footage, data, cleare documentation, another countries pride in science advancement (In a now we can do it too mentality, against the #1 superpower). There are many gains and it probably has the least to do with conspiracy theorists but yes, I agree that there would still be people that dis-believe but I think many of the issues could at least be compared and put to rest.
My what would be gained question was more about us doing it, sorry for not being so clear on that point.
It's just average trailer park rednecks that doubt the "moon story", a couple of scientists that haven't written peer-reviewed papers, and no ex-astronauts, in a variety of scientific fields such as homeopathy and chiropody, as well as paranoid conspiracy theorists in the areas that arrouse doubt. Same with 911.
Sometimes, every so often, once in a blue moon if you will... our government and government-funded agencies actually don't use trickery and deception for the purpose of financial or political gain, or by any decree of the New World Order. It's a big surprise, I know, but there have been a few instances where, for the sake of scientific advancement or historical accuracy, the evil men in the scary black suits and ties who control the World have exercised honesty and accuracy in relaying valuable cultural information to lowlifes like you and me.
I am very confident that NASA airbrushed out objects on the moon. They don't even do a great job of it. But these two people saying they saw it happen is no smoking gun. That could be you being interviewed on there. Just because it says ex NASA employee on the subcaption doesn't mean it's true.
I believe NASA is hiding something for sure, but them airbrushing photos doesn't change the fact that we landed on the moon.

Over the years, many magazines have airbrushed things out of pictures of Pamela Anderson. That has not changed the fact about how many people have landed on her.
