Well, he doesn't say God doesn't exist, but rather that with further evidence concerning the creation of the universe and the space-time continuum, the need for a creator is less justified.

Personally, there is no need to spark more God vs. science debate. Believe what you want to believe, but you won't be able to prove either way.

It's as if he's saying that physicists know everything but it's a fact that they don't, or else there wouldn't be any need for physicists. What physicists are discovering today is only the tip of the iceberg.
