      MACH 3

Got a beautiful shave from it - don't know what everybodys on about. No rash, no cutting, no pulling and skin like a babys bum.

Conclusion - yer all a bunch of shaving snobs but thanks for the advice. I've learned something though - the art of a good shave so thanks for your input and help. Still awaiting my badger brush.

There's a Muhle R98 DE up for sale now.
Nooooooo! Don't give up! It just takes a bit of effort and patience to find the perfect shave. BTW how much for the Muhle?

Some of us can't grow hair like that anymore at least not on our heads. Now I would be all set if ear hair were fashionable!

In that case, I'd shave it all off, too. Baldness is a very masculine thing. It means you have lots of testosterone. That appeals to women.

I've got somebody interested in the Muhle but it's not definate.
So GoVegan - given the postage to the U.S., the blade was £24 ($37) - chuck an offer at me.

Like I said, the Mach 3 is a damn fine razor shave-wise...............but like Monkey said I'll keep paying $10 bucks for 2 years worth of shaves, while you're paying $30-$40 bucks a month!

You shouldn't give up so easily, you really would find the DE far superior if you gave it some time and practice . . .

I hope you at least got the pink Mach 3, the tampon-shaped care-bear brush, and the extra-jumbo pack of panty liners for you're big fat VAGINA.
                . . .

I used to be a Hare Krishna monk, and we shaved our heads, with just a simple bic.

Tom - were you really a Hare Krishna Monk?

                        Ha bloody ha Owens :-)

I got my badger brush today and it seems that this could make a lather out of just about anything. I lathered up some Palmolive shaving cream - pretty good stuff and started shaving with the free Israeli blade I got - The blade seemed a bit stiffer which was good and started out by giving myself a reasonable shave - then we got to the chin. At the chin it's really tough, dense and the hairs grow in multiple directions - the blade just isn't having it - or should I say, the DE just doesn't cut it so what's the f**ing point!!

Finished of with the Mach 3 - like a knife through butter.

As for the cost of the blades - it's £7.00 for four. I'd hope that would last me nearly a month.

A mach three blade lasts me one shave, head and face. I do have some thick and wiry hair though...

DE does me two shaves head and face or four just face (or just head) depending on what my style is for the week. Sometimes I stop shaving my head for a few days so I can feel good about getting older.

I just got my Jagger DE in the mail this afternoon. My sample pack of razors hasn't shown up yet.

This thing is HEAVY. I popped over to the drugstore to pick up some blades and aftershave.

I gingerly gave myself a shave. No cuts. No bleeders. Just felt a bit dry. I will need to change soaps or creams to get a wetter shave.

I only did one or two passes. Not bad. Haven't gone against the grain yet. The routine was nice.

I would not shave my head with this thing.

One question, does the blade go beveled side up or down when you put it in your razor?

I went honed side up. I and no big deal getting the job done. Hearing the razor cut every stubble is surreal.

I've used a brush and soap for years. My DE is heavy and sexy. I can't wait to use it tomorrow morning.

I clipped my dome today with an attachment. No. 1 and am gearing up to go full monte.

It doesn't matter how you put the blade in and no, you cannot flip it around and use it again.

Tom - that is cool about being a Krishna Monk. There used to be a restaurant in Santa Rosa called Govinda's that was owned by one of the original Krishna's. He was actually with His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada during the 60's and 70's. He sold the restaurant but I really miss talking to him. I normally go to Catholic Church but I really enjoy reading anything by Paramhansa Yogananda. I have visited Ananda and listed to their podcasts frequently. I remember reading the Bhagavad Gita for the first time and it blew my mind away. I felt like I found a huge piece of the missing puzzle.

Frosted - stay away from the Mach 3. The next thing you know you will be using only flavored snus that comes in a cute tin!
