I've shaved my head for years now, not sure how many. I use the Gillette Mach 3. Eventually, you will reach a point where a mirror isn't necessary and you can do it quickly without cutting yourself. Learn to shave by 'feel' instead of the mirror.
Funny - I just shaved it again tonight. I got fed up with the fuzz. Anything seems too long now.
Mach 3 all the way on the head and I do it by feel.
Of course I do a with the grain and then against - after shave and then balm. Shaving the head is a piece of p**s compared to shaving your face.
Woah wait a goddamn minute... GoVegan: you're giving me shit for using a Mach3 yet you need your wife's *permission* to shave your head?? LMAO! And you haven't received it yet??
Y'all can give me shit all day for using a Mach3, but browsing through this thread again, I have only this to say: I buy Edge Gel and Mach3 razors at Costco (in bulk) a few times per year. I shave my head in a couple minutes and I haven't cut myself in many years. Most important, I have no need whatsoever for all yer fancy-pants brushes and soaps and creams and aftershaves and antique razor collections, nor do I have any need for your myriad tips and tricks, nor did I need any guidance as a young lad the first time I shaved! I figured that shit out myself! Booya!
Must agree with all the fancy creams and stuff - not needed.
I use £1.00 palmolive cream that lasts a few weeks - and of course the wonderful Mach 3. Not one cut.
I didn't realise just how easy it was to shave your head until I tried it. I even regret asking the question cause it's easier than wiping ones arse.
The topic of this thread is how to shave your head PROPERLY. PROPERLY in the shaving world means with a DE or straight. Mach 3 and Camel Frosted Snus are one in the same. They both come in beautiful packaging but are loaded with artificial crap and sweeteners. They also both will cost more to use in the longer run and are not PROPER in any sense of the word.
In response to Roo - she has the box, what am I supposed to do? I can be proud, bald and have a sore wrist or I can lose a little pride, keep a bit of hair on my head and have great sex.
Damn let's not take this too seriously... GoVegan lol at "she has the box". In any event, this thread is hilarious, had me really cracking up this morning, hope it stays that way. Oh and GoVegan I've never tried Camel SNUS so I don't understand the comparison. "I'm a real man" lol and damnit I use manly snus.
Na in all fairness I would like to try a DE or even a straight someday but I haven't put much thought to it, I just use the same ol' thing I've been using since day one 9 years ago, and if I come across an alternate method and momentarily "man up" and lose my fear of scalping myself I may give it a try. I'm about to shave my head.
PS: in Malaysia last week I shaved without a mirror and more importantly, with only water. Can your razor do that? All in good fun fellas.
Edit: We are just joking around right? I read Owens' post again just now, kinda harsh brother. I totally respect what you do and I was quite impressed with your ability to restore those cool antique straights. I hadn't seen that thread until today. Cool shit.
Oh, I was totally joking, all in good fun..... Didn't mean to come across as harsh, just giving ol' Frosted a hard time...
Right on, pardon the mistake. Back to the topic, do you ever cut the shit out of yourself with those things? As we all know, except for GoVegan (jab), cuts on the scalp bleed all freakin' day. I may have to give this a try. And yes, if I used a straight razor, I would invest in some fancy creams!
Edit: Oops my bad again, I initially read your post to Frosted on my phone which doesn't show emoticons or text coloration and I just thought you were being a jerk lol. Now it's all clear.
While much has been said about the way advertisers have always hawked their products to women by playing on their insecurities, men have not been immune...
