    2012 is going to be a wild year. The fall of the Obamatron, nuclear solar flares, Nibiru hitting, Earth's crust rotation, and the return of Hitler-Vril.

      Where are those popcorn smileys?

      Happy Birthday, Tom!

      If the worlds gonna end I had better start spreading my seed like Michael J. Fox holding a bird feeder. I don't think there's a gun that can protect me from Nibiru...but that Hitler guy...he's toast 'cos I'm gettin' one of those Jesse Ventura Gatling guns from Predator.

        Biltong caught my eye so I did an Amazon.com search just for the hell of it.

        Lo and behold, not only is biltong itself available but also recipe books:

        Sounds interesting, as does Mrs Balls Original Chutney by Mrs H.S. Balls, along with other delicacies.

          @coderguy.........love your siggy.
          My daughter and I were talking about a major event like that and we both came to the conclusion that rather than stock piling years worth of food and supplies it would be much easier to be armed and have some tactical training and just take what ever you need. Man I love that girl. It almost brought a tear to my eye when she realized that.

          Now just to talk the wife into letting me teach her to shoot :P

              Great kid! Yeah that's the ticket. Rather than stockpiling just build a list of people stockpiling and go visit them. I think that's the Obama plan anyway, let others do the work and let the not-haves take what they want. You know what they say, "If you can't beat em, join em (then beat em when you get there)"

                    Good idea. What is the snus that would survive best without refrigeration? I think 01 and 02 would be good candidates.

                      I would imagine the Northerners (formerly known as Oomph) ...
                      Purified Nic and dry as a Neanderthal bone!!

                      Plus their compact case is so unintrusive you could probably
                      stockpile twice the amount in the same space as regular snus cans!!
                      Even if you double-barrel them, nobody will notice and your stash is safe!

                          Yeah. Oomph would last through the apocalypse. I think my vacuum-packs will too. I have built up over a year's worth of snus...and DAMN GLAD I did 'cos I live in MA.

                            Yeah I also stocked up with a year's worth. I have only tried the the purified during that trial test a while back, wasn't a fan, but if it lasts through the dark days of the apocalypse maybe I should get some before the end. Need to get some powdered whiskey too to go with it.

                              Massive solar flares.
