    1984, here we come

    By ADAM COHEN – 59*mins*ago
Government agents can sneak onto your property in the middle of the night, put a GPS device on the bottom of your car and keep track of everywhere you go. This doesn't violate your Fourth Amendment rights, because you do not have any reasonable expectation of privacy in your own driveway - and no reasonable expectation that the government isn't tracking your movements.
That is the bizarre - and scary - rule that now applies in California and eight other Western states. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which covers this vast jurisdiction, recently decided the government can monitor you in this way virtually anytime it wants - with no need for a search warrant. That $400 fee to denounce your citizenship is looking cheaper by the day...

So many things wrong with this, I'm literally shocked a court would rule this way.

Oh yes I am shocked, SHOCKED, to hear that the court has ruled against freedom. Surely this must be some new precedent. Lol Simplysnus, they do this shit all day man it's what they get paid for. No one has overturned the patriot act, we still have torture by rendition, no trials for US defectors who are targeted for assasination, and probably a whole host of other shit we don't hear about as often.

Our Constitutional rights are being trampled on by the government, one by one. Bye bye, America, it was nice knowing you.

            Tim

PS - Please support the Libertarian Party. I honestly believe they want to lead us back to freedom.

The problem is that both the left and the right are against libertarians. They believe that we just want no government, no taxes, no regulation of any kind, and they consistently confuse libertarianism with anarchism. The republicans talk shit about wanting smaller gov or lower taxes or more rights for businesses and individuals, property and gun rights, privacy etc, but it's all lip service. They havn't delivered on any of those concepts for 100 years or more. And the democrats are worse because they don't even pretend to want any of those things, infact they make it a staple of their campaigns to run against them. They say they will make STRICTER gun laws, fight AGAINST business, and RAISE taxes and SPEND more.

Both parties do it, one party pretends they won't and only somewhere in the middle can we find our footing again (which is why most americans consider themselves independents).

I do find it intiresting how much heat the Obama admin is getting relative to other equally corrupt presidents. Bush got his fare share of protesting, but for the most part the country ignored them and it was a small, almost unnoticeable fringe that ever spoke up about things. Nowadays though we see massive multi million tea party groups, business owners denying service to those who voted for Obama, Dr's speaking out against him, big firms speaking out against him, militia groups talking about overthrowing the government etc. The whole 9 yards.

I think it doesn't have so much to do with Obama being a lying corrupt politician, because that is standard and nothing new. I think it's just people are finally getting fed up and it just so happens to be happening on his watch. Also I think this massive recession is fueling most of it.

Hindenberg Ommen was triggered twice this month. 77% (x2!) chance of market crashing in the next 40 days. We'll see how it all pans out. We're like a speed addict who's been getting high for decades, never sleeping, always spending every dollar we have and never facing their problems. Now the crash is coming and soon the American dream will take a long nap to sleep it off. It's going to hurt, but the real question is: When we wake up, will we go back to getting high or will we fix our problems.

Obama is blatantly taking away our rights with his in your face attitude. Look at Obama care, the public did not want it and the congress and senate knew that as well as Obama did but they passed it anyway. Remember that next time you vote! Neither party really gives a rats ass about the citizens they "serve"

My approach for the past few months has been to spend all my available cash as quickly as possible. When the economy collapses and the dollar is worth 1 cent at least I will have had the burst of enjoyment from my working efforts. Savings doesn't do any good if it isn't worth anything.

They probably believe that because the libertarian party itself has rifts over anarchy versus minarchy.

The libertarian party doesn't have any strong leadership or central command structure like the 2 big parties do. Libertarians are not as lock-step on every issue. There is not a consistent partyline. Some believe in nearly no government or regulation of any kind, and some believe in minimal government and only essential regulation. Theres too many different types of liertarianism, and is kind of just a safe havent o get away from the big parties, like being an independent but with anti-government leanings.
