Isnt it funny too how its a crime to videotape a cop beating someones ass, because it breaks wiretapping laws, and yet the gov can freely wiretap you at any time without reason or warrant and it's cool. lol

As with all other categorizations in our society, I once again experience trouble in political parties. I don't consider myself Republican because I disagree with their stances on religion, censorship, etc... They are the moral police.

I don't consider myself Democrat, well because...of everything they stand for, with exception to secularism.

I find most agreement in Libertarianism, but even then, I disagree with some of the Libertarian Party's stances. Just one stance actually, which I will not address here because it is "hot button" issue and is sure to ensue a 500 page thread. So I guess I'm a Libertarian with a right slant. Or maybe just Independent.

In reference to the topic of this thread and the gov't tracking. Once again it's just another step to us becoming the society not only envisioned in 1984, but also in the Hollywood movies. Somethings gotta give, and when it does, it won't be pretty.

No one has overturned the patriot act, we still have torture by rendition, no trials for US defectors who are targeted for assasination, and probably a whole host of other shit we don't hear about as often.
    Well said!

That's a difficult question, I would say I have tended towards the right version in theory, however in practice I see some compelling situations for the left version.

Yah I suppose "we" isn't the right term to use. "Some of us", would be better, lol. That's what I like about the party though, and it's also what I like about the tea party (prior to GOP takeover). The tea party was without leadership and pretty much just a general forum to bitch about government, and anyone with any view was welcome to join in. Now, like your favorite rock band, it has gone corporate and I no longer want to listen to them.

If the libertarians ever became a viable third party, they would be taken over as well. Ron Paul is honestly the only politician I have ever seen or read of that doesn't seem to cave to the influence of the larger party though, but the rest would.

Theres too many different types of liertarianism, and is kind of just a safe havent o get away from the big parties, like being an independent but with anti-government leanings.

There is only about a year left for the masses to rise or a Romney puppet will lead the sheep to a complete slaughter.
It is very important to get people to understand this is a one party system.
