Or is it that most minority smokers smoke menthol?
I believe the statistic is that something like 80% of African American smokers smoke menthols.
In general, menthols are by far the most popular type of "flavored cigarette," which explains why they were the only flavor exempted from the FDA flavored cigarette ban. Maybe if the FDA does ban them it will spark enough of an outcry to finally give some pushback to this new regulatory crap. Here's hoping anyway.

So then why are the people who are against the Arizona law not protesting this? This is adversely affecting a targeted minority group. Sure menthols are bad, but you can't ban them because the majority of those doing menthols are a minority and it is therefore unconstitutional, amirite? Where is the ACLU on this one?
I got started on Newports. Glad I gave that shit up.
This is not the job of the FDA. Who are they to decide what flavor your cigarette is?
The new way to steal freedom is to say it protects the kids.
This is how they passed the stupid sobriety check laws that violate rights with almost no opposition.
I am not an advocate of drunk driving, but damn. We are supposed to be free.
And when they finally ban tobacco products completely?
Organic insecticide teabags!
Just received my Faeries' extracts -- wish I had gotten a bucket of da plain SnusX ... will just have to settle for 'doctoring up' some snus I'm not too fond of and hope for the best. With 20+ extract flavors I should be able to come up with something that wouldn't gag a maggot!! With luck.......
They have already banned all other flavored cigarettes. Every time they succeed at banning a product, it, IMO, puts our products more at risk.
Just joking of course. I share your sentiment with it creeping closer to affecting us. It's also something i think (not directly referring to the cigs here more of the ban on tobacco in general that's looming) that it is going to be very hard for us to stop from happening. We can petition and write/ talk to our congressmen but it seems like it's another one of those things that if 'they' want it to go into effect, it will despite how we feel about it.

She's hoping to tempt millions of smokers to follow her lead.
Confronted with the inexorable decline of cigarette sales, Reynolds is transforming
