Oh stupid me. I simply didn't even know that. Hell I never even heard of a hotlink.

When snuson went to the new software I didn't like the new way to post a photo because the reader needed to click on the thumbnail attachment to enlarge it. I finally figured out a way to post full size photos without putting it on photoshop first. I figured, hey I found an easier way...Great. Now I find out its frowned upon. Learn something everyday. I think I'll stick to doing it my way.

LX, I thought this was your cat .......

I usually find a photo, right click, go down to properties, copy the URL, go to the thread I want to post it in, type [img], paste the URL, then type [/img]. I'm pretty fast at doing this. It only takes a few seconds.

Here is an example. If you want to see the photo example just put a [img] at the beginning and [/img] at the end of this link....
    https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...bVxb_EprpDQweQ
It will show up as a photo on the post.

That may seem to be a longer way to post the photo but it works and gives a full size photo. Another way is like LX said to do it. My way I don't have to load it to photobucket, etc. and go thru all that hassel.

Ok....this is what I looked like 10 years ago.

I no longer use mirrors except when shaving and then I only look where the razor is going.

Life is a bitch....and then you die!

    P.S.

You can thank lxskllr for this! I had nothing to do with it!

So I go to "attach files" and open the location of a photo on my computer.

As soon as I click on its location instead of letting me find and choose the pic I wanted I was sent back to my post source with the "location" listed in the box my post was building on.

That is something I've not experienced anywhere else.

Usually I can open the app where my pic is located and then "choose" it and hit the choose button and the pic is sent to the page I was originally on.

    ???

It worked for me. Click Manage Attachments, Browse at the top of the window, pick your pic, upload, then click Close window, and it should work. Alternatively, you can use a file host. I'm partial to https://mediacru.sh/# and https://imgur.com/ upload the photo, and use the img tags to post it inline. I prefer remote hosting myself, as opposed to using attachments.

I read the FAQ and following that process does not work for me.

Great photo mate. Glad to have you back. Looks like the new mrs. got you cleaned up a bit...or was it your military service training? Anyway, for the newer members I suggest that you look to much earlier posts in this thread to see the xobeloot that we used to know. He looks a tad different.

Not too dissimilar here in the UK, depends where you go but cocktails will range anywhere from $10 - $100.

Yup. Not on all places, but around $15 for a cocktail, yes.
