How is a farking JETPACK even in the same realm as a segway? Yah it only lasts 30 minutes but the technology will improve over time, this is the first ever. Did people poo poo cars because it would only get x number of miles to the gallon or only travel 15mph?

Watch carefully in the video and watch the guy on the ground get out of the way even though there was plenty of space between them. This tells you that the pilot probably cannot effectively control the device and much of the flying was only "semi-controlled". Secondly, his feet appeared to be in danger during his landing.

Why does the passenger need to be suspended by harness? Tradition? I think there is room for improvement there. Give the guy a chair.

I would like to see the pilot go through an obstacle course with that...

This would have a cool military application if it were easy enough to maneuver. Not sure how maneuverable this thing is in real life or how fast it would go, but I could see huge potential for light infantry units to have some of these things on hand (improved versions of course)

A Segway?? C'mon BigBlue. You don't want to be seen in public riding a febby little device that screams "I'm too lazy to walk and I'm too old to ride a skateboard!" and makes you look like a twat. I see groups of tourists around here riding segways that are capped at like 4 miles per hour and they all wear helmets, and passersby almost die laughing. Cops ride 'em too. Parking cops. With helmets.
