That is pretty wack IMO. The thing that really gets me though, is how they all expect the government to tell them when it's no longer safe for their kids to be in there. Seems pretty obvious to me that you might want to get out of there. Then again, I don't have a lot of trust in the officials.

I saw it's driving the sharks close to the beaches too.

I'd probably avoid swimming in it if there is sheen.

Tar balls aren't really a big deal, IMO. There were natural tar balls on the beach (from seeps) in Biloxi in the early 90's (my only experience with the gulf). They didn't seem to bother any one then.

I mean, you looked around before you sat down, but you didn't bring a hazmat suit to the beach or anything crazy.

One thing is if it were just oil, it wouldn't be a problem, Crude oil is about as organic as anything. But after they spread that toxic shit all over it, It may be a problem....

Yeah, I hear you. But you know damn well if it was a smaller more localized spill they'd shut the affected beaches down right off. This one is just "too big to fail" IMO.

This just in... the Federal Government is slow to react to anything not involving going to war. More on this shocking turn of events as it unfolds.

                    I knew it.

The containment system capturing oil from the Gulf of Mexico spill had to be removed Wednesday, leaving the gusher unchecked after a collision involving a robotic submarine, US officials said.

So now one of the robots hits the containment system and the well blows wide open once again. I'm telling you, they are trying to relieve pressure on the casing by letting it just come out of the well through the top. I hope that what i've been reading isn't true and the casing isn't messed up, that could mean bad things for the gulf and if it completely breaks, it may make the well impossible to ever completely cap.

They are saying there is 1 trillion barrels of oil or something in the well, good god that would wreck the ocean.

And 2 of the cleanup workers just died too.

I think if I had access to legal MJ, I would use it, and I think it would help me in my depressed moods.

Is that even oil? On the cam on CNN.com, it looks yellow and green to me. What is that?
