I believe in a more spiritually driven evolution, in that there are planes/realms of existence that cater to a certain collective level of spiritual development, and certain bodies/forms that are the vehicles of the spirit in those realms, as well as progressive forms the spirit ascends into during re-births. I don't believe in a literal Genesis, but I also don't believe in a big bang, all random explanation either.

Evolution just has too much to support it, I mean theres almost no way to get around it really. Multiple different disciplines in science have all independently corroborated it, from DNA, to archeologists digging up bones etc etc. I am still hung up on the global warming thing as I believe that while we have an effect on the planet, it's not going to be the all out doomsday scenario they keep claiming, but that's because it's a relatively new science and while the data is compelling, I feel it's being over hyped for political purpose. But with evolution, we have been adding data to the evo model for a very long time and there is nothing to gain by some several hundred year long conspiracy to fake evolution to piss of christians or something. It just has too much evidence to ignore it's existence.

Me too, as long as it is actual science and not the goofy "consensus building" it has devolved to for some topics.

Questioning consensus is how science progresses. Really, if you buy into any scientific dogma, you are far more likely to be teaching freshmen than doing actual science.
