Students at La Quinta High School, in So Cal’s Coachella Valley have been amusing themselves playing a game called “Beat the Jew”. In the “game”, a runner is called a “Jew” and chased by groups of people in cars called “Nazis”.
"'The objective for the Jew is to run down Hwy. 111 to a specified checkpoint before the Nazis can catch up to him, tackle him down and capture him,’ according to a Facebook page that was taken down on Friday."
Desert Sands Unified School District Superintendent Sharon McGehee displayed the twisted view of the First Amendment endemic to liberals:
"'(It’s) their freedom of speech; there’s not much we can do except be disappointed,’ Desert Sands Unified School District Superintendent Sharon McGehee said, adding that many students apologized." La Quinta, incredibly, is known as one of the better schools in the Valley:
"‘We only have three weeks until there’s not much you can do about it,’ said the 18-year-old La Quinta High student who alerted officials to the game and Facebook page promoting it. She has asked to remain anonymous and is staying home from school out of fear of retribution."
"‘Some of these kids that have joined the group, they’re like the cream of the crop of my class,’ she said. ‘They’re going to be the leaders of our future and they feel this way?’"

First of all, this is hilarious. Reminds me of the "kick the jew" scandal a year or so ago where kids at school would kick any jewish kids they saw. But is it twisted liberals defiling the 1st ammendment? Or is it in fact what the 1st ammendment was created to protect? I would have to say that this is in fact "Free speech". Everyone is participating in a game voluntarily, and they have chosen a certain set of words (not popular ones) to describe the players. They are not infringing on anyone elses rights, so I don't see why it wouldn't be free speech. There could be school rules against it obviousely but as far as the constitution is concerned, I am more than free to call myself a nazi and walk around saying I hate Jews, as long as I don't infringe upon anothers rights in any way.

No kidding couldn't reach the article but I just went to a T-store and asked why everything cost a fortune and the guy just sighed taxes. Rolling tobacco that used to be 3 dollars is 12 dollars now. He had cigarettes at 6.99 a pack which is probably the cheapest I've seen. They had oliver twist for the modest sum of 9.99, and he said they had another store stoking general at the modest sum of 7.99 probably more now need I go on. Oh premium cigars are cheap though I have no idea why I'm sure Gregoire and most congressmen here don't smoke them.

Oh they're also adding sales tax to candy.

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- A man was shot in the testicles Sunday afternoon after a gun in his waistband accidentally discharged, police said.
The man was shopping at the Lowe's hardware store in Lynnwood around 12:30 p.m. when the gun went off, said Shannon Sessions with Lynnwood police

Paul McCartney was reportedly "shaken up" by an incident that happened after a concert in Mexico City. Police had to rescue the former Beatle after a mob swarmed his tour bus.
A source says that even McCartney's security detail thought it was just another ho-hum standard giant crowd enveloping his tour bus until things got out of hand as youths started scaling the bus. It escalated from there as they got on the roof of the bus and started jumping up and down.
The mob dispersed when police were dispatched to the scene. McCartney's management is said to be re-evaluating his security detail.

I've always felt a bit sorry for Tipper. And not just because of the stupid name. I'm sure you've seen how Gore gets all drawn out and preachy about BS. And not just global warming, although certainly that too. It's like he's convinced that the people who disagree with him are just not understanding the issues and he can "fix them" by talking more and more passionately. Can you imagine living with someone like that for 40 years?

I hope she gets a nice house with an attractive pool boy and a cool car, she's certainly earned it.

Man Rips Out Friend's Heart While He Was Alive

Upon returning home early one morning, a man was witness to a tragic scene involving two of his friends.
Reported by The Times-Standard, Justin Davis stepped into his home, picking up his dog, and found a gruesome sight before him as his friend, Jarrod Wyatt, was standing in the living room, naked and bloody, with a brutally beaten body, friend Taylor Powell, before him.
Upon entry, he told Davis that he was attempting to cut out his friend's heart.
Wyatt, 26, was a cage fighter and had been reported as acting strangely after drinking some wild mushroom tea.
Davis left the scene and located a pay phone to call the authorities. When they arrived, Wyatt was seen on the couch with the body of Powell. Already beaten, most of his face had been removed and an eyeball was laying in the middle of the living room.
Powell also had a large cut in his chest, in which many of his organs were removed, including his heart. According to Wyatt, he threw the heart in the fire.
As coroner's later examined the body, it was revealed that the heart was extracted from the body of Powell while he was still alive, which caused him to bleed to death. Further investigation showed that he had his head repeatedly rammed into the wall.
Although detectives found mushrooms in the kitchen, it has yet to be determined if these were a factor in the brutal act and his overall behavior.
Wyatt has been charged with first-degree murder.

North Korea may face blockade by US Navy [Will Obama make US face a Flotilla ?]

President Barack Obama is weighing a possible naval cordon sanitaire around North Korea as one means of ratcheting up sanctions amid the fierce global criticism of this week's nuclear and missile tests by the reclusive communist country. After the shock of its second nuclear test in three years — with a bare 25 minutes notice to the US — the regime yesterday rubbed salt into that diplomatic wound by test firing two short-range missiles, leaving the White House scrambling to stitch together an effective international response. The North's show of defiance was “provocative, destabilising and a threat”, Susan Rice, Washington's ambassador to the United Nations, said, underlining that the Obama administration would not allow Pyongyang either to have its own nuclear weapons capability, or to export nuclear technology or materials. She claimed that by carrying out the tests the regime had only succeeded in isolating itself even further, as demonstrated by the swift and unanimous Security Council response on Monday condemning the actions as a violation of the 2006 resolution forbidding North Korea to conduct nuclear tests. All options were on the table, Ms Rice declared, repeating the stock US formulation at previous moments of impasse with Pyongyang. But she specifically warned that Washington was ready to “step up” efforts “to intercept and interdict prohibited cargo from North Korea”.
But such stern talk only highlights the dilemma for US policymakers — as does the conflicting advice raining upon the administration from all sides.
Some foreign policy specialists urge the White House to pay more attention to Pyongyang, saying that the test was simply an expression of its frustration at being ignored thus far by the four-month-old Obama administration.
Other advisers take the opposite view, arguing that the most effective response is precisely to ignore the regime.
This school says that North Korea craves only attention and to be recognised as a ranking member of the nuclear club. Some North Korea watchers place their faith in China and to a lesser extent Russia, drawing encouragement from the unusually sharp condemnations of the test issued by Beijing and Moscow. Others, however, warn that China, the North's key partner, above all desires to prevent a unified pro-US state on the Korean peninsula. Some experts advocate resurrection of the stalled six-nation talks involving the North, the US, China, Russia, Japan and South Korea, but others insist the best option is direct bilateral talks between the US and North Korea. In fact all these paths have been tried, and all in the past have failed. The Clinton administration in 1994 offered aid and other incentives to persuade Pyongyang to halt its nuclear programme only for the latter to renege on the deal. The following Bush administration talked tough, branding the North a member of the “axis of evil”", but could not prevent it from throwing out UN weapons inspectors in late 2002 and conducting a first nuclear test four years later. By 2007 the Bush White House reversed course and reached an agreement whereby North Korea would dismantle its main nuclear plant — but Pyongyang reneged on that deal too. US officials say the biggest threat is not of a North Korean nuclear missile launch but of exports to rogue states or even terrorist groups. Shipping inspections, authorised by a UN Security Council resolution after the 2006, would help counter this threat. But they have not been applied, in part because of concern over Pyongyang's response to what it said it would regard as an “act of war”.
