I think I was one of the first ones to bring politics to snuson, but even I feel there is way too many random news threads being posted here lately. If theres some big story I can see posting it, but it seems like every little thing gets posted now. It's like the entire 1st page of People and The World Around Us is all politics discussions lol.

Where? All I've seen lately here is Obama-this and Obama-that and all kinds of ridiculous, half truth postings.

There's a definite radical left fringe on these boards. I'm not even sure where to start with something like this. You should wonder why other "news" outlets do not cover a story involving the President, his highest advisers and bribery. What do they have to do to make the news, assault and battery, homicide? I think the more information the better. Thank God for Fox News, the Internet and talk radio. Without which we would only hear what Ted Turner, GE and the NY Times wanted us to hear. I'm old, I remember. It was bad.

As others have said, there's maybe have a dozen liberal people who post in these threads, and they're hardly radical, with the exclusion of Faust. Search some of his posts, and you'll see what I mean, and probably like the rest of us a little bit more. As for news, you know they cover American politics in the news in other countries too, right? I'm not seeing any mention of it on English, Japanese, or Canadian papers that are published in English, and they keep tabs on important events in US politics since they have important business interests in the country. It could simply be another case of only Fox covering a story not because others are too liberal to cover it, but because other papers and sites practice something called journalistic integrity. You're not going to get the whole story from one source my friend. You should try and have at least two, because it's rare that the truth is reported entirely in just one. More often the truth lies in the omissions and statements common to multiple sources of differing opinion and slant. And I'd vouch for the NY Times over Fox any day. At the very least, aside from more diverse content and coverage, they beat Fox handily in a google fight for the search "(insert source) wins awards."

Yeah me too actually. I really have no problem with Che. He was a fascinating man. Guys like him and Castro were hailed as celebrities here in the US at one time. The did what they what they could for their people. No different than what Washington or Franklin, or any founding father did here. They just happened to get on the bad side of the 1960's status quo. How did Che run afoul of the United States?

On topic, If Bush didn't get impeached, Obama won't get impeached. Off topic, I'm getting a little fed up with all these topics as well. I understand it is a part of SnusOn, and has been since Serger started it, but I agree with whoever said it, maybe somehow filter them out from showing up on the What's new. Religion and Politics board sounds like a really good idea.

i must say though, regardless of sgregers political threads and more conservative nature, hes one of my favorite posters, and a crucial piece of the snuson melting pot of today.

and wa3zrms news articles i dont really mind, hes been doing it for a while. i usually just dont read what i dont care about, i dont know what i got all worked up about. i guess i was probably bored and there werent any interesting threads. and since i stopped following politics a few years ago, i dont really understand what obamas done to make people hate him. taxing rich dudes i guess? whatever i cant relate.

and i love it when faust posts. i dont read everything he says but his avatar always looks like he means business.

I think Wa3zrm definitely adds something but I have reached the point where I am just ignoring the news story posts from him. Another downside is that longer threads might not get a chance to develop with 20 new treads about every random thing. On the other hand, I can never get enough of Tom502's N Korean madness.

There really is one hell of a big difference between Sgreger1 and Wa3zrm though, and its not really fair to "lump" them together.

At least sgreger has INPUT on the things he posts. He states his view and is willing to participate in coherant conversation about a topic. Wa3zrm just mindlessly-mass-posts all kinds of sh*t and then dissapears from the thread, and never says a damn thing about it again, which kind of annoys me.

Don't get me wrong, they're both good people, and I have nothing against either one, but the spamming/post whoring or whateveryouwanttocallit by wa3zrm seems to be pissing off a lot of folks lately, myself included. I mean, sgregers posts dont bother me at all, and I enjoy reading them, but anymore I dont even click on anything posted by wa3zrm.

I also firmly agree that like most other forums, we need a seperate Politics and Religion section for the people that do want to "go there".
