Semi related, here's some color photos of Nazi Germany I downloaded from Life. They're more ceremonial and not battle related, but still pretty cool. There's also a few amusing pictures(in B&W) at the end of the folder which put a real face on the soldiers instead of them being a generic war machine.

Won't unzip on Ubuntu with archive manager?

"End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive."

Hmm, it should. I downloaded it to my Ubuntu box, and it extracted fine. Maybe it won't do it inline. I didn't try that.

I saved it first. I'll try it again.

I used 7Zip to compress it. That /shouldn't/ make a difference, but I do have 7Zip installed on all my machines, Windows and Ubuntu. If it won't work for you, I'll upload it as a Linux native format.

Got it. Must have corrupted first download

Really brings it to life, kinda creepy. The last ones are really great though.

The color gives it a whole different feel. The shades from then look a lot like 60s photography. It makes it feel more immediate, rather than being an abstract view from history.

Yeah, they look just like my parents old slides from the 60's except with a bunch of Nazis.
