I would definitely want to try on the glove before I bought it. I guess this might be hard to do if Baseball isn't popular there. They all kinda fit differently and there are many different kinds that are used for different conditions. User reviews will help though...the most popular ones are usually popular for a reason. Don't go cheap with your glove though...it's something that you'll have forever if it's a good one...and don't forget to get the mink oil (or whatever if you don't feel like clubbing anything) to condition it...and store a ball in it for shape.

like others have said...go with a wood bat.

I grew up listening to the Braves on radio, so yes, I really enjoy baseball over radio. Especially when they had their great broadcast teams, such as Milo Hamilton and Ernie Johnson, Skip Caray and Pete van Wieren. Unfortunately, I don't think any local station carries the Braves broadcasts, anymore.

When I had XM Radio, I loved to tune in to the Astros' home broadcasts just to listen to Milo Hamilton. A couple of years ago, he sounded exactly like he did in the 60's.

Check this out. Yet another thing I've seen in the cathedral otherwise known as Fenway Park.

I thought I was going to miss it, but as you can see my Father's Day present to myself worked out better than I had planned it months ago.

Oh yeah, and the Sox won 12-3!Click image for larger version
