    Gluten/Egg/Dairy Allergies

I just got the word from my daughter's ped. that she is allergic to eggs, gluten and dairy. They mess with her poopin' and her sleep. She's 2.

It sucks to say the least.

Anyone got any good places to check out recipies?

I hit the whole foods today and got gluten/egg/dairy free: flour, rice flour, xantham gum, cereal, oats, pizza crust mix, flaxseed meal, pasta, rice bread and some soy milk. I also got a few pounds of assorted dried beans and some quinoa.

I also got rid of all wheat, dairy and egg in the house.

The quinoa is the main item I am not so sure how to use. It's a grain, and that all I know about it. The other items I have used in one form or another.

My fiance and her daughter are allergic to Gluten. I'll see if they have some tips but that sounds a bit rough with the eggs & dairy allergies also. :?

Been ages since I've had some quinoa! But this site might be helpful:

They're doing some clinical study in the Chicago area involving exposing children to trace amounts of an allergic food (mostly peanuts, from what I read) for an extended period of time. Apparently its hot news, aside from the fact that royalty in the European countries long ago did the same thing with poisons to prevent or slow down assassinations... mostly by members of their own kin who were also equally exposed to poisons to build up a tolerance.

Not saying you should expose your kid to anything like that. However if its just the poopin' try to look up and work out some kind of tolerance building. Like early in the morning when she's not sleeping, or something to that degree. A pinch of dry egg or milk in her formula? the story of your life now is you're going to be changing shit on a regular basis. oh well if its just a little more than usual :-D. That way when she's in her teens/20's she'll be able to tolerate it alot more.

If it was just poop issues I'd say f*** it and get her a milkshake. Her throat and sinuses had minor swelling and was interfering with her breathing while she slept.

I just spent 150 bucks to replace everything in my fridge and pantry and so far what we've eaten has been pretty good. Quinoa pasta is really good. She also digs gluten free steel cut oats with soy milk and flax meal (for creaminess)-salt, splenda, five spice and cinnamon.

Rice bread on the other hand tastes like b@11sack and makes s***ty pb&j..

The kids are taking the lack of milk a little hard though...

I have IBS for over 3 years now and it just got worse with time.
Most IBS seems to be caused by some reaction to food that our system is incompatible with.

The IBS was caused by food - Dairy & Wheat gluten - info is 50 % of IBS cases are fixed by not taking these stuff. This info is important because it lead to the cause & looking for what works. Wheat & diary are the dominant causes and
mentioned that to my doctor. He did tests that checked for both these 2 and other possiblities.
His tests found I react to milk or dairy specifically - Casein intolerance.

It is hard for me to stay away from milk & milk products, I found it in many sources of the food I eat. It is found in canned goods, restaurant food, cookies , candies and many sweets. I don't know how to cook so eat whatever is there. My mom & sister bake lots of great cakes & recipes & a lot of them contain milk or similar ingredients even cream contains casein.

Anyway, I found a company with a remedy for my problem. The treatment took over a
month but after that I am well again and don't have my previous symptoms & problems
              with milk or similar foods.
According to them it works by lowering antibodies. Anyway they explain it
with some info on blood & immune stuff.
              It's a good thing.

If your case is due to casein like me, I recommend trying the same remedy.
If your case is from gluten, write to them because I believe they have
              another formula for that problem.
Their formula is casein-Fx found at:

              SPAM LINK REMOVED

I have not found other sources for remedies or treatment for my problem.
Today I am back to eating most foods with no problems..

Ask them that you'd need to try their remedy.

I'm dying to use my ban button
Maybe you could explain why I shouldn't

LX, the info may be legit but it's not something I would attempt willy-nilly on a 2 year old.

The fact that chembarry's post is his/her first out of the blue does make it suspect.

Joining a tobacco forum to bump a year old thread on health is HIGHLY suspect. That ban button's just pulsing with a peculiar glow. I almost can't help myself :^D

Unfortunately there are a lot of scammers out there trying to convince us that we're allergic to this that and the other. Personally I think they're scum.

But if they last longer than 4 hours you'd better see a doctor!!

No, but a great big juicy steak will.
