Have ever you been a smoker?

I haven't... just wondering if anyone else too or you have all started snus'ing just to avoid smoke.

I smoked for 15 years. didnt start snusing to quit the cigs though, it kind of just happened on its own as a result of the snus.

I smoked for 17 years, almost 2 packs a day. Needless to say that my lungs were starting to complain, so I looked into alternatives. I knew I wouldn't be able to just quit. I went with e-cigarettes and they worked, but because people like T-Bob were talking so favourably about snus, I thought I should try it. Ordered some General Original and never looked back. 100 days now since my last cigarette (not counting the one I had on Christmas when I was drunk as ****).

went through a phase where i smoked a ton in my last year of highschool cause we partied every single weekend, this lasted around 6 months. It was gross so i stopped.

I smoked a pack of Camel Lights every day for about 15 years. When my dad died at 58 of a heart attack I began to think about it. two years later when my wife got pregnant with my first child I went off of tobacco cold turkey. It was about 6 months until I started dipping. I did that for a few years and my gums couldn't take it any more.

I heard about snus on a radio program. It was just a fleeting comment but it was enough for me to investigate. I remember feeling the urge to spit constantly with the first two portions. By the third portion I was hooked and haven't looked back yet. I started with General Original Portions and then proceeded to try all of the snus that Northerner offered. N&J west was my favorite until I tried Grov. N&J got discontinued and I was bummed but I was happy because I can survive on Grov alone.

I get a can of dip every few months for ha ha's but I'll never go back to it. Snus is the sh*t. Only recently have I begun to enjoy a cigar but if I have 2 in a year that's a lot.

I haven't smoked in 6½ years. I do have the odd one with my brother maybe once every 6 months or so but it always makes me feel like crap. I feel much more from a cig than nicotine itself. Ugh.

yep... used to for a few years, then my ma had a stroke ( she smoked) continued, ran out of money, bought some of the camel stuff cause it was cheap, and then ordered a free can of general... been snusing since then, though I'll still buy a pack when run out ( very rarely)

I started smoking in 9th grade (14 years old). I mainly smoked Camel and Winston filters. I quit smoking cigarettes when I was 18 because I could finally order snus legally off the internet. I tried quitting with Camel SNUS but there wasn't enough nicotine to satisfy my cravings.

Let's see....40 years of smoking, at LEAST a pack a day....that's 14,600 packs, or 292,000 cigarettes. Boy, am I glad i ran into snus. Smokefree for almost 13 months.

I had too it was part of my job. I was in a side show. I was the guy that inhaled cig smoke and made it come out my eyes and ears. Maybe you've seen me?

I used to smoke a lot. Now I smoke a tiny bit. I didn't start snus to quit smoking, but I saw the advantage, so I went ahead and mostly quit.

Started smoking when I was 9, was a 2 pack a day smoker for many years, started using snus when i was 41. Also had no intention of quitting, just kind of happened. And I too happily indulge in a smoke ever month or two.

Smoked off and on in high school then picked up my first can of camel frost my sophomore year in college. Once in a while ill have a smoke with the roommate.
