Surrogates was great! For a movie witht he same theme, watch gamer. Really good movie about the same thing but showing the evil side of it.

While I don't dig the anti-human message, I keep politics out of my movies. As far as entertianment, I still think Avatar was probbaly the best movie i've seen all year (not that I have seen many). And having also been into the graphics design world in a past life I felt it was a modern work of art. I am amazed at how the industry has advanced in just a few short years.

I do actually agree with the main message of the movie though which is that we need to realize that mother earth gave birth to us and like any child, you should respect our mother. But let's be honest, that marine guy was awesome. Forget an oxygen mask, he just goes out shooting.

      Two things:

      1. "Dances with Smurfs".

      2. The aliens have sex the same way they talk to animals. Seriously. They have sex with animals.

In all seriousness, this movie was a great cinematic experience in the 3D, but it is also a stark indicator of the state of entertainment today. It was unoriginal, poorly acted and cliched in almost every-way possible (excepting visually(which is primarily what everyone is so excited about with regards to the film.)) It stands as an effective metaphor for the creative consciousness of America at this moment: low on substance, heavy on the explosions.
