I don't see what the People's Republic of China has to do with this discussion.
Not quite, china is strong but would be worthless without the US and our immense spending. They would be insolvent overnight if the US dissapeared.
I think that's a safe assumption. At no point in time was the US big or powerful enough to take on all of Europe at the same time. And a fascist empire would have unified all of Europe. You would have been conclusively rolled over in a week or less.
Defeated? Heh. Suffering from delusions of grandeur much lately? I would love to find out how exactly it is that you take credit for the purely domestic meltdown of a foreign nation.
(Oh, and that arms race may have had something to do with it)

Yah Germany was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay advanced back then> those panzers were melting our armored divisions like butter. What was it like 6 US tanks to 1 panzer? We really gained the edge once Hitler over extended himself on too many fronts and we were able to swoop up all of thier top scientists.
Like Von Braun, the US would nobe the same without the Nazi scientists. This came up in a thread before and everyone called me an anti-semite and started multiple other threads about it. But history speaks for itself, we gained our edge by edge by enlisting the Nazi scientists and they are the ones who brought us to the forefront of technology because they were so much better than ours. AND on top of that they had significant intel on the Russians at the time wich was of extreme value to us. I think the US made the right call.

Yah i'm kind of pissed off that the swaztika has this negative connotation now. i would don the Nazi Class-A military uniforms any day. Those things were beautifull. And their symbolism was way cooler than ours. US needs to hire some new artists when developing of symbols and icons in the future.

In another thread he said he's from the bread basket of the Soviet Union, which I think is the Ukraine but he goes on to call Ukraine traitorous. He also alludes to living somewhere on the Muni route so I think thats anywhere in the Bay area. Unfortunately in that thread he also said he plans to move to China but has obviously not made it yet.
Anyway, I have learned from experience not to argue with Marxists (let alone soviet communists) since the bases of those philosophies lies in conflict theory which is a polar opposite to the free market leaning views of Ludvig Von Mises who actually places class conflict on the shoulders of government as opposed to fixing this conflict with more government.
I'd rather just laugh at them. This guy has already weathered flame wars.

Why the world has not yet realized that large invasive overbearing nanny state gov is bad, and regular joes trading freely amongst each other is good, is beyond me.

Most if not all of you folks are a lot smarter than I am so before you start making any smart remarks about this old dumb redneck being narrow minded, I thought I would add this warning sign.

We all know it's the man that makes the uniform.
I think symbolism would help unite the US general population.
Another point, the "swastika" was on US Army uniforms, however the symbol was changed because of it's popularity with the NAZIs.
Making assumptions about history is the same as making assumptions about the future but without the fear of being proven wrong "coulda, woulda, shoulda" never changed anything.

While we do have kind of generic symbols, (like the star for the army), the colors we display mean something, and although we've have our falters in the past, the US for the most part has always been a symbol of hope and freedom, and we are the ones who prop up a lot of countries that would starve otehrwise. We are the most cheritable and always come to the defense of our allies, even when they will not come to our defense in the future. Because we know it's right.
