Hey big blue, I'll take the time because it took me and snusdog over a year to figure out how to quote. Look at someone's post, find the "quote" button, click it, delete what you don't want to quote if necessary (leave the "quote=roo" stuff in the brackets), and bingo. Add what you want. You can even change what the person said. For example, you could quote when sage said the following: "bigblue1, I'm sorry for jumping down your throat. Welcome to snuson". Or something like that.I like these threads. A lot more exciting than whatever is "in your mouth right now". But I didn't watch the movie. Did ya'll reach a truce or what?
EDIT: is truce spelled like deuce? I'm dropping one now, don't have spell check on my phone.

Sage always jumps in to welcome and give advice, more than anyone else. His slutty post count can attest to that. He's good. Hopefully the misunderstanding has passed. And welcome to snuson! And I'm still not watching the video. I'm watching Alien.

So I watched justintemplars video which isn't bad but very narrow and never alludes to the fact that most of the players they mention that caused the derivatives and credit default swaps in the later 90's are now part of obamas cabinet. ie tim geithner larry summers and Bob reuben of goldman sachs the Clinton administration and citibank who now runs the latter two. As a matter of fact at around minute 40 of the fall of the republic they cover this as well.

So what would Bigblue do? I still need to watch at least part of the video. There are many Obama discussions here. Word of advice: don't f**k with templer he will take the time to research and rip you a new one with facts. That guy is on point. sgreger1 is the resident Obama-hater #1 (followed by a close 2 through 500) so team up with him and let VBSnus expound on why your point of view is inferior. That's good reading. I'm dropping another deuce.

a very apropo quote from The Fireside Theatre
"I think we're all Bozos on the bus"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I hold no affiliation to any political party. I'm in the party of me. I'm a pessimist and therefore don't believe any political candidate is better or worse than the other, because they're going to screw us either way. OH well, there's always booze!
Consider this: Bush took away our rights by authorizing unconstitutional wiretapping and all sorts of government eyeballing. No one said a word, and if they did, it was nothing on the scale of the tea-parties and they're having these days.
Anything Obama is doing right now is petty compared to what Bush did. I will not disgrace the office of the President without a good reason. I don't see any human rights violations in Obama's administration. (No, as much as you and I would like to believe it, banning tobacco shipments by mail doesn't constitute a violation of human rights  )
Cash for Clunkers is a bleeding disgrace, but blaming it on Obama is a blatant refusal to accept the facts. The CFC program has much deeper roots than you'd think. Economist Alan Blinder helped popularize the idea of a scrappage program, and the moniker "cash for clunkers", with his July 2008 Op-Ed piece in the New York Times. Blinder argued that a cash for clunkers program would have a tripartite purpose of helping the environment, stimulating the economy, and reducing economic inequality.[17]
The House approved the creation of a cash for clunkers program with the 298 to 119 passage of the CARS Act ("Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act", H.R. 2751). The House bill, sponsored by Rep. Betty Sutton (D-Ohio), allowed consumers to trade in vehicles with a combined fuel economy of 18 or less for new, more efficient vehicles.[22] In the Senate, Debbie Stabenow (D-Michigan) and Sam Brownback (R-Kansas) sponsored a bill very similar to the House's.
Through further investigation, you'll find that President Obama did not sign off until after the program had finished. President Barack Obama signed the bill into law on August 7, and the appropriation was exhausted by August 24, 2009.[3]

Next time maybe the people will vote republican. Can't speak on behalf of the vid, seems like it's one of those movies that also state 9/11 was a government conspiracy.

Guys the whole point of the movie is, F#ck the left / right donkey / elephant paradigm. They are the same thing. Two slaves one master. We owe our allegiance not to political parties, or corporations the latter owning the former, but to the CONSTITUTION, BILL OF RIGHTS, AND EACH OTHER. You Don't have to watch this movie or believe their is a conspiracy of any kind. Just do some research look at history look at the current socio-economic environment. Yes Bush was a tool. Yes Obama is a tool. That my friends is the Point. You don't have to believe anything to look at something. You cannot truly form an opinion on something if you don't step outside your comfort zone and look at other things. This is what they want . They don't want us to get along, they choose divisive issues to splinter us apart. I Don't know guys. Its frustrating to be sitting here trying to proselytize to people who can't/won't look at or try something they've never seen/had before. This is very important to the survival of Mankind or at least a free mankind. If you haven't read or watched 1984 in awhile you may as well start there. If that doesn't scare the bejesus out of you I don't know what will.
. I am now putting on my flame retardant suite. So fire away
