I think the books get weaker because Stephen King is the type of author that needs to get an idea out of his system immediately instead of drawing it out. So a big series was problematic for him.

However, you have to at least read up to and including Blaine. Blaine is a pain, but one hell of a train.

I *think* I dropped off right before that one. I just need to start over from book one.

Yeah I was in hihg school when I started reading dark tower, and had to wait a year or so to get the fifth one until it came out. But yeah the last two did feel rushed even thought the ending was pretty cool. And thanks for the welcoming attitude everyone.

I really appreciate the trade idea, but to be honest I only buy enough to make it through a week or so at a time, i usually snus at work and it helps cope with the grabass. I think the equation is Grabass+Time at work x previous unresolved stress= amount of snus used, but i've never been good in math. But i'll let you know if i end up with an extra tin hanging around.

Yeah its the type of series where its hard to pick up after a long stretch of not reading it, so at least King gives a quick summary at the beginings. And yeah he probably did need to get it out, i guess the longer you have an idea floating around the more diluted it becomes, it was a great journey while it lasted though.
