Sage, I promised I wouldn't post any political content, but this is not about health care and I am really curious what people think of this.
Someone who was a translator during the bush admin has turned whisteblower and is claiming that PRIOR TO 9-11, republican officials negotiated with Turkey and discussed plans to invade Iraq.
This is from the uber liberal Dail Kos but it is the best account I could find.

In an interview with former CIA officer Phillip Giraldi, FBI translator turned whistleblower Sibel Edmonds named Douglas Feith, Paul Wolfowitz, and Richard Perle as having been wiretapped and recorded discussing plans with the Turkish ambassador in the Summer of 2001 to invade Iraq and occupy the Kurdish region bordering Turkey.
Apparently the guy tried to take this to court and request the fbi obtain the conversation which was captured via wiretap to prove what he is saying, courts of course claiming state secrets so can't investigate.
If these allegations are true, & the wiretapped conversations exist, than I think people need to burn for this.
It would mean that the invasion of Iraq was planned prior to 9-11, increasing the validity of the claims that the USA was complicit in the 9-11 attacks, a belief I currently do not agree with. But this would change my mind
What is everyones take on this?
