do you add meat at the bottom and tomatoes? try adding lamb ribs and you will be in heaven my wife does that and the meat just dissolves under your fingers, oh yeah you have to use your hands to eat them lol. Great cooking by the way
My dad's family is Lebanese, so I've been eating these things for years. My grandma used to take a chair and a bucket everywhere she went, and if she saw wild vines she'd set up her chair and pick pounds and pounds of leaves.
Unfortunately these use leaves in brine from a jar, but it still takes me about 2 hours to make a batch of 30. One thing that's instilled in me is that they MUST CONTAIN MEAT.
Lamb, rice, pine nuts, mint, parsley, cinnamon, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon in each little roll.
