Holy shit man, seeing that logo takes me back to elementary school. Every wednesday we'd go to the library and watch an episode.

True story, but don't take my word for it.

I have actually had this quote for a long time I don't know if pp stole it or not!!!!
I am sure he just tweaked it to make it more truthful!

Oh no! I loved that show as a kid and I remember reading some books specifically because they were featured on there. It turned me into the bookworm I am today. I hope the children of today get an equally cool show that motivates them to read. All of the kids shows now are marketed to tweens and have next to no educational value.

                  NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Agreed, shows like Bratz that make our daughters think it's okay to be skanky are great, but God forbid our children should enjoy reading. /sarcasm

I read somewhere on the net today that the whole Bush No Child Left Behind junk, didn't care for shows like Reading Rainbow. They wanted more focus on the phonics of reading then why you should read.

Not only can he read upsidedown but apparently he can read with his ear.

I never heard of Reading Rainbow. I must be too old.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Maybe not that you're too old, but maybe that you didn't watch much PBS.

or that your kids (if any) may have been outside the demographic for that show before 1983.

Its an awesome show though. It used to be a favorite of mine when I was a kid.

Jordi LaForge helped me learn how to read.
