Freddie King- One of the best blues men of all time. Not only that, but I think he flew in on that shirt collar

      I love blues!
      Freddie is great.
Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand
      maybe the greatest song ever.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ArWLI908i4
but probably not the best performance though
Muddy Waters - Long distance call

Andy McKee, He has a very cool unorthodox guitar technique.

a tip for those embedding youtube videos...this is probably rather obvious, but if you didn't know...you can chop off everything in the embed code before the < in <embed src=...

and chop off </object> at the end ...for the other stuff is completely useless and forums don't recognize it and it posts it above and below your video making it a little messy, like this:

            <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rq-XVONVX7k"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rq-XVONVX7k" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

            as opposed to this:

            <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rq-XVONVX7k" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed>

so the only thing you need is in the embed tag such as:

            Code:
            <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rq-XVONVX7k" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed>
            Everything else goes.

It looks the same in both internet explorer and firefox, so that extra code makes no difference if you were wondering. Maybe it's useful for antiquated exotic OS's or really old versions of browsers. I'm not sure whether the forum controls whether it's displayed as regular text or if it's the browser not formatting it and leaving it as regular text.

Actually, the embed tag is the antiquated one - it's something with phpBB forums that escapes the object tag because it is actually quite a bit more powerful and could be used to modify the forum itself. The embed tag is simple and only does one thing, so it is allowed through, but one could create all sorts of objects with the object tag (...things to hack and steal passwords with, etc.).

Bottom line - yeah, only need the embed tag  I've sorted out the rest of them for now.

I can't be certain, but I'm almost sure that Erik Mongrain (from Quebec) was one of the first guys to do this sort of thing. Saw him busking at the Montreal Jazz Festival years ago and he was hidden away, not even a proper "registered" player, just sitting on a chair on an obscure side-street with a huge crowd just mesmerised as they watched him play. Friend of mine bought a CD from him right there!

Speaking of musicians using interesting styles/skills..

here's one hell of a badass drummer, of the band Cryptopsy,
                  Flo Mournier of Montreal, Canada.

of course, it's death metal, so ya'll might not dig it that much.

Master Peter Gabriel, everybody. Digging in the Dirt- IMO, the best video of all time

Here's my ace, Rick Wakeman, performing a blistering keyboard solo and rocking a killer mullet at the same time:

Very cool Zero, thanks for the video I have the cd saved for later on my emusic account, so I can download it when my account refreshes 8) That guy's amazing. It's like a combination of tapped guitar, and hammered dulcimer. That's really thinking outside of the box.
