The WSJ journal seems to think that some people are simply stocking up in the hope that they will make a profit in the future if new legislation is passed

However, (to go completely off topic) what I find more disconcerting is the amount of guns that simply find their way into the wrong hands

I do believe though that the Fox news article misses the point as 17.5% of the total gun seizures is still a significant amount. Moreover, the NRA argument that the ATF figures are being used to weaken the Second Amendment doesn't hold water either. IMO it merely points to a serious failure in controlling the flow of arms.
