Dunhill International Packaging

Hello everyone,

So I was looking at a package of Dunhill Internationals, and I noticed on the back of the package at the hinge, there is a perforation in the shape of a circle in the middle. It's been driving me nuts trying to figure out its function, and I just need to know. I was hoping maybe someone here could educate me or give some ideas. Thanks!

I think it's there to relieve stress on the hinge, and allow it to open easier.
