    Hello

    Hi Everyone,

I have been using this site as a reference for a bit now and decided last night that I should sign up and introduce myself. I am very new to the world of snus (only been trying it for 3 months at this point) and have moved from camel snus onto a few of the Swedish brands and find I like them a lot more. about 45 mins ago I handbaked my first pris and popped it in. It was General loose and I liked it quite a bit more than the portions. It lasted about 35 mins before I decided to spit it out (about how long I keep a portion in) and aside from a bit here and there I did not get a mudslid it kept very well. Is General loose one of the easier snus' to handbake? I have a tin of Ettan in the fridge that I am going to open very soon and I am curious what to expect.

Up until this first pris I have used portions exclusively. I really like Skruf original and sterk as well as General Onyx. I have to be honest I do like the flavor of the Camel Mellows it's just I don't want to line my gums with them to get the vitimin N fix. If one of the Swedish brands have a toned down flavor similar I would be sure to jump on it.

Well just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the great information. I am looking forward to buying an icetool and plunging into the world of loose snus!

EDIT: I wanted to mention that I started trying snus for two reasons. 1. I want to slow down on the cigs. 2. Smoke breaks are non-existent some days at the office and I wanted another way to get the nic.

Welcome to the forum oouder! I learned to love loose snus as well. General is fairly easy to bake and so is ettan. I have a 3ml icetool and love it, but you don't really need it for those brands. Some others are not so easy, so if you like loose, it would be a good thing to get.

      Welcome to snuson oouder,

I stared using snus 2+ years ago for similar reasons. i was Supervising an outbound sales floor, and just didn't like leaving the sales floor as much as I was starting too. So read something that mentioned snus, found it in Wikipedia, thought it might be the perfect solutions, and got a try out box from Notherner (camel didn't exist yet)

Never did plan on quitting smoking, just started to smoke less and less, and seemingly preferring the snus more and more. Then one day, about a month later, I just didn't spend the little money I had at the time buying cigarettes.

The rest, as they say, is history. I'm glad you decided to finally speak up. Real good folks here who love to share their passion.

Welcome to the forums, mate! Ettan is my personal favorite right now, los and portioned. I'm giving Grov los, Goteborgs Prima Fint (los), and Roda Lacket los a try. So far Ettan is still my favorite, and Roda Lacket is pretty tasty so far too.

Good luck with the smoking. Even stepping down a notch or two is helpful, and maybe you won't find a need for it at all after a while.

I'm new here too, so welcome from another new guy! Ettan is good stuff, so crack open that can and give it a try.
