My name starts with T (Tim), so I have had the nickname "T-Bone" at various times throughout my life - although I still don't know why (no, I don't regularly eat t-bone steaks). I attend university (Ph.D. studies) at University of Iowa, and their team name is 'Hawkeyes', or 'Hawks' for short. There you go - I just put the two together.

And all this time I thought Coffey's name was a reference to blaxploitation films... It turns out the classic Pam Grier film name is spelled 'Coffy'. My bad. I knew there was a 'y' at the end, though.

It's a great film if you ever decide to rent it! A woman's revenge on a drug cartel. There's a great scene where Pam Grier pulls a switchblade out of her afro!

Big_andy_25
Hi,
Im new to the forum having recently changed from cigarettes to snus. It is so much nicer and I am already seeing the health benefits of not smoking. Im on the portion snus for now while I get used to it properly but am looking forward to trying some loose very soon.
As for my nick big_andy_25. I am big (read as fat), called andy and when I started using that nick I was 25. Im now 28 but im used to the _25 so cant change it.
I should probably introduce myself. Im Andy, a Dr in the UK. I got into snus after a friend gave me a tin of general portion. I loved it and found I had very little urge to smoke while using it. Initially I wasnt keen to switch but having read much of the research on snus Vs cigarettes I decided to make the change. As a Dr I cant say its good for you but I am convinced that it is significantly less harmful than smoking. For me the level of risk associated with snus is worth the benefit.
Bye for now
Andy

I chose my user name because Soft Morning, City! is the moniker under which I record and play music. I have to use a moniker because my real name is Chris Robinson and there are already a few musicians with that name.
I chose that moniker as a result of reading Finnegans Wake by James Joyce. It basically means, "Greetings, City!" It is taken from the beginning of Anna Livia's Soliloquy at the end of the book.
