Oh wow! So that's a little piece of history!

I didn't realise that handguns weren't allowed EVERYWHERE.

Thanks guys, this is pretty interesting.

The gun laws vary from state to state and even sometimes city to city. In Texas which is a "gun friendly" state, you can have a shotgun or rifle if you're 18 years old and a U.S. citizen and NOT a convicted felon. You can walk around the streets legally carrying a long gun but that's rarely (if ever) done.

You can have a handgun if you're 21 years old in your home or car and not a convicted felon (unlicensed). A licensed handgun carrier can walk into most businesses while carrying a concealed weapon. Guns are banned in courthouses, federal building and such if you are not law enforcement.

In Texas there are A LOT of bad guys shot and/or killed by citizens who exercise their right to carry a gun and defend themselves.

In days past, the bad guys had the guns (because they didn't care if it was legal or not) and the legal citizens were vicitmized because the bad guys knew it was illegal to carry a gun. Carjackers and burglar's now days have to take out hazard pay because their job is much more dangerous.

One final thought- In my experience, the anti-gunnies are generally (but not always) uninformed people who never spent much time around guns. They simply fear what they're not familliar with. A couple I've known, I simply took them out to the range and they were much less anti at the end of the day because they realized how much fun it was.

Edit: It's legal everywhere in America to own a gun in your home if you're not a convicted felon.

I have been putting this thing together for a few months, and Im just about finished with it. Tell me what you think!

          5.11 Tactical V-TAC bag

My Bushmaster. Way better than my Colt. 1:9 twist Chrome lined bore. Match Trigger. GG&G Tactical single point sling plate, GG&G tactical BUIS.

5.12 EOTech Holographic Weaponsight. Co-Witnessed with the BUIS. ERGO grip. Very nice, Highly Recommend. AAC Vertical Grip. Nothing Fancy, but solid.

Daniel Defense Omega Rail 7.0 in Flat Dark Earth. I took the hood off the EOTech and hit it with some Dark Earth Camo paint.

Closer look at the rail and the Streamlight TLR-1 Tactical Light

Mag coupler gives me 60 rounds of Black Hills Ammunition. Shooting the 55grain Match ammo

Hard to get a good pic of the EOTECH, but you get teh picture.

Low light/no light room clearing made easy

Wanted to paint it like a scout rifle, but they wouldnt let me....

Sweet setup. How do you like the vertical grip? I've never used one, but it seems like it would be a little uncomfortable. I guess it's just familiarity. Anything other than standard seems wrong to me :^D

Most of the time I am using this weapon it is in a building. I prefer the vertical grip for CQB. I have a Harris bipod setup that I can slap on real quick if i have to take a longer shot. IM accurate with the vertical grip out to 100 yards, but havent shot it w/the vertical grip out much past that. even when I was using a weapon without the vertical grip, i would grab the mag well and push the weapon into my shoulder, so its similar.

Condor, that is the most beautiful setup I've ever seen. I think very $$ too.

                    Thanks man!
Nah, It wasnt really SUPER bad, but enough to where my wife yelled at me. Rifle was 1100$, $380 for the EOTech, like ~300-ish or 400$-ish for the DD forearm ( i dont remember and Im too lazy to look...it was too much), grip was 30$, sling plate was ~30$, vertical grip ~40$, BUIS ~130$, sling was 60$, light was 120$, bag was 100$. The shit adds up!
IM not a fan of plain black rifles, I wish I could scout paint them all....

Im also assigned as the tactical marksman (we all know what that is... the dirty "S" word) for our group's SRT team, and here is my setup for that:

Blackwater drag bag. The best out of what I had to choose from. Folds out into a shooting mat.

Armalite AR-10(T) Chambered in .308 Win.

Standard gas block w/ Pic. rail. Harris bipod

Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x40mm Long Range Optic in Matte Black. Leupold scope mount.

                    Magpul adjustable stock

                    Smile!

Good shit. Im shooting the Federal Gold Medal Match .308 Win. 168gr Sierra Matchking BTHP. ~ 2650fps.

This is a cool app I got for my IPhone called Ballistic FTE. Choose A Caliber and load (Ill keep it simple....theres a little more to it than that) and what your zero range is.

It will give you ballistics charts, ballistic coefficient, etc.

Or you can access a heads up display to give you a shooting solution. For instance, my rifle is zeroed DTFO @100 yards. If i have to take a shot at 300 yards, for instance, a shooting solution is provided. If hte wind is coming at 10mph from a 90 degree angle (in this example), it gives me a windage solution as well. adjust 4.9MOA for path and 2.3 for windage. Its actually very accurate, I was shooting with it a few days ago and I was very impressed.

It is. I dont quite trust it all the way yet. I have only shot it out to 600 yards, because I dont have anywhere else to shoot that is long er than that. Realistically, I wont take a shot over 200 yards. When people say that folks who like guns are stupid, I dont think they realize exactly how much math and variables are involved in being an accurate marksman.

Geez condor, you are not kidding around man. You are prepared, armed to the teeth and ready to go...lol. Do you let your buddies play with your toys if they are careful?

After having seen some of your gear(I am sure you have more), I am not sure if I am going to post my Norinco and some other stuff I was going to post. Your gear puts my stuff to a shame

Im not paid to kid around.

Post it up. I cant post all mine, Ill be on a watch list!
Yeah, I have let people play around with my shit, but then I have to make sure its right again before I put it up. I have to be deployable. I have too much liability with the big gun (the AR-10), and it has to be dead-on-balls perfect all the time.

Post your stuff up man! I shoot competitively, my shit has to be awesome!
